An exhaust gas turbocharger with an integrated catalyst substrate block and a hybrid vehicle having such a turbocharger are described. The exhaust gas turbocharger has a turbine housing, a turbine wheel and upstream ahead of the turbine wheel a hollow body-shaped catalyst substrate block, which is integrated in the exhaust gas ring duct of the turbine housing of the exhaust gas turbocharger. As a result of the upstream disposal of the turbine wheel and the integration in the exhaust gas ring duct of the turbine housing, particularly good emission values of an associated internal combustion engine can be achieved with a compact construction mode.

A radial compressor having a specially designed iris diaphragm mechanism is described. This mechanism includes only a single (main) blade that is driven directly by an actuating element, while the other blades are driven by the respective preceding blade via the movement of the main blade. This results in a particularly simple embodiment of the iris diaphragm mechanism. A blade for an iris diaphragm mechanism of this type and a charging device having a radial compressor of this type are furthermore described.

A radial compressor has an iris diaphragm mechanism for a pressure-charging device of an internal combustion engine. The radial compressor has a bearing assembly, in which a rotor shaft is rotatably mounted, having a compressor impeller arranged in a compressor housing for conjoint rotation on the rotor shaft and having a fresh air supply channel for carrying a fresh air mass flow to the compressor impeller. The iris diaphragm mechanism is upstream of the compressor impeller, allowing variable adjustment of a flow cross section for the fresh air mass flow for admission to the compressor impeller, at least over a partial region. The iris diaphragm mechanism has a plurality of blades, each having at least one first and one second blade section, wherein an offset is formed between the first blade section and the second blade section of the respective blade.

A turbocharger device for an internal combustion engine and a method for mounting a turbocharger device are described. The turbocharger device has a housing with a locating hole, in which a turbocharger shaft is mounted by two rolling element bearings. A rolling element bearing sleeve is situated between the two rolling element bearings. The rolling element bearing sleeve and hence the two rolling element bearings are fixed with the turbocharger shaft in the axial direction with the aid of two pins, which are introduced through a hole in the housing and are pressed into a groove in the rolling element bearing sleeve. During this process, the beveled tips of the pins slide along the chamfered outer edges of the groove as far as an end position, which fixes the axial position of the rolling element bearing sleeve.

Turbocharger device and method for mounting a turbocharger device

A radial compressor has an iris diaphragm mechanism for a pressure-charging device of an internal combustion engine. The radial compressor has a bearing assembly, in which a rotor shaft is rotatably mounted, having a compressor impeller arranged in a compressor housing for conjoint rotation on the rotor shaft and having a fresh air supply channel for carrying a fresh air mass flow to the compressor impeller. The iris diaphragm mechanism is upstream of the compressor impeller, allowing variable adjustment of a flow cross section for the fresh air mass flow for admission to the compressor impeller, at least over a partial region. For this purpose, the iris diaphragm mechanism has multiple lamellae which each have a plate style lamella main body and a pin style actuating element as integral constituent parts of the respective lamella.

A compressor is disclosed for a charging device of an internal combustion engine. An iris diaphragm mechanism is arranged upstream of the compressor wheel. An actuator is mechanically coupled to an adjusting ring of the iris diaphragm mechanism for transmitting torque of an actuator shaft to the adjusting ring for rotating the adjusting ring. A pivotable coupling pin is arranged eccentrically on the actuator shaft and has a bearing bush which is displaceable along a longitudinal axis of the coupling pin. The bearing bush is mounted between two fingers of an adjusting lever of the adjusting ring so as to be displaceable along the fingers. An outer contact surface of the bearing bush is spherical. Inner contact surfaces of the two fingers are cylindrical to correspond to the spherical outer contact surface of the bearing bush and are in sliding contact with the outer contact surface of the bearing bush.

Compressor for a charging device of an internal combustion engine and charging device for an internal combustion engine

A bearing device for a shaft has at least two axially spaced-apart, radial anti-friction bearings with rolling bodies. In each of the anti-friction bearings, an inner race is formed for the rolling bodies on an inner bearing element which is connected fixedly to the shaft. An outer race is formed for the rolling bodies on an outer bearing sleeve having at least two bearing sleeve elements which are guided coaxially with respect to one another in a guide device. Each of the anti-friction bearings is assigned a separate bearing sleeve element with in each case one anti-friction bearing running surface. The guide device converts a rotation of at least one of the bearing sleeve elements about the shaft longitudinal axis into a spacing change of the two bearing sleeve elements. The axial spacing between the bearing sleeve elements can be adjusted and/or fixed and/or prestressed with spring element.
