A converter module for power converter stations includes a first terminal for input/output of an electrical current to the converter module via a first connection line, a second terminal for output/input of the current from the converter module via a second connection line, and a by-pass switch connected between the first terminal and the second terminal. The converter module further includes a first switching module and a second switching module connected in series via a first node connected to either one of the first terminal and the second terminal and at least two capacitor units. The first switching module includes two switching devices and the second switching module is connected between the first node and a second node. In the converter module, a first capacitor unit is connected from the second node to a first switching device of the first switching module and a second capacitor unit is connected from the second node to a second switching device of the first switching module to form two separate current paths between the first node and the second node. Accordingly, a reduction of the energy discharge is obtained upon failure of one or more of the switching devices or modules.

The multi-layered dielectric polymer material may comprise a plurality of dielectric layers wherein the plurality of dielectric layers may comprise an identical base material. The base material may be compound with agents for at least one of the plurality of dielectric layers. It may overcome compatible issues for convention multi-layered material. The dielectric polymer material may have increased dielectric strength and excellent thermal properties.

Multi-layered dielectric polymer material, capacitor, use of the material and formation method thereof

A metallized film capacitor element includes a plurality of concentrically arranged cylindrical sub-elements, each sub-element including at least one metal coated dielectric film wound in a plurality of turns. The capacitor element further includes one or more thermally conductive sections provided between the sub-elements. Each of the thermally conductive sections includes a sheet wound at least one turn and having a higher thermal conductivity than the metal coated dielectric film of the sub-elements. A thermally conducting film is provided for improving the thermal conductivity of electrical power components. The thermally conducting film includes an electrically insulating film and thermally conductive and electrically insulating particles disposed on at least one side of the film.

An electrical bushing for providing electrical insulation of a conductor extending through the bushing is disclosed. The bushing includes: one conductive foil concentrically arranged around the conductor location; and one FGM part, made from a field grading material and partly arranged in the extension of part of a foil edge of a conductive foil. The FGM part and the conductive foil, in the extension of which the FGM part is arranged, are in electrical contact.
