A lighting and/or signaling device, comprising a light guide, at least one LED light source, wherein an inlet and diffusion wall and the light outlet wall are opposite to each other along a main optical axis (X). The lighting portion comprises a middle lighting portion aligned with the LED light source and the light emission portion, and a peripheral lighting portion. The device comprises at least one reflector element associated with the light inlet and diffusion wall of the light guide and directly facing the respective extraction elements so as to reflect light towards the light outlet wall. A diffusion layer is arranged to cover the lighting portion on the side of the light outlet wall. Cylindrical optics are provided on the light outlet wall, at the middle lighting portion, which extract the incident light beams thereon, towards the diffusion layer.

Automotive lighting and/or signaling device

A lighting and/or signaling device comprising a container body which delimits a containment seat that houses a first luminous source adapted to emit a first luminous beam, and a second luminous source adapted to emit a second luminous beam. The containment seat adapted to be at least partially crossed by the luminous beams produced by said luminous sources, so as to transmit the luminous beams outside the containment seat. The containment seat is divided into a first compartment which houses the first luminous source and into a second compartment which houses the second luminous source. The lenticular body comprises a first transmission portion, facing the first compartment that transmits, at least partially, towards the outside the first luminous beam, a second transmission portion facing the second compartment that transmits, at least partially, towards the outside the second luminous beam. An opaque portion, is interposed between the first and second transmission portions so as to conceal the view of the first and second luminous sources.

A lighting and/or signaling device, comprising: a light guide adapted to receive a light ray beam to a light outlet wall which creates a lighting portion of the lighting and/or signaling device, at least one LED light source adapted to receive the light beam, transmitted by total internal reflection towards the light outlet wall. The device includes at least one reflector element associated with the light inlet and diffusion wall of the light guide and directly facing the respective extraction elements so as to reflect light towards the light outlet wall. A diffusion layer is arranged to cover the lighting portion on the side of the light outlet wall. The diffusion layer has a differentiated transmission factor according to the light intensity of the incident light rays on the lighting portion so as to obtain a uniform light intensity over the whole lighting portion.

Automotive lighting unit comprising a first lighting assembly able to backlight a transparent or semi-transparent portion of the front half-shell; the lighting assembly comprising: at least one light-guide plate made of photoconductive material, which is arranged inside the rear casing with a front sidewall of the plate facing the transparent or semi-transparent portion, and with a rear sidewall of the plate facing the rear casing; a first oblong light source which is located inside the rear casing at a first segment of the rear sidewall, and is capable of directing the light produced inside the light-guide plate so that the light travels inside the body of the light-guide plate towards the front sidewall; and a second light source which is located inside the rear casing at a second segment of the rear sidewall complementary to the first segment, and is capable of directing the light produced inside the light-guide plate, so that this light travels inside the body of the light-guide plate towards a first lateral sidewall of the light-guide plate connecting the second segment of the rear sidewall of the light-guide plate to the front sidewall of the same light-guide plate. The light-guide plate is provided with a transversal groove that extends along one of the two faces of the light-guide plate, from the front sidewall of the light-guide plate towards the rear sidewall of the light-guide plate, so as to be interposed between the first lateral sidewall of the plate and the front sidewall of the plate, and is crossed by the light reflected by the first lateral sidewall of the light-guide plate towards the front sidewall of the light-guide plate.

Automotive lighting unit with a light guide plate

A vehicle light having a container body having a first perimetral profile, a lenticular body, having a second perimetral profile, wherein the first and second perimetral profile of the container body and the lenticular body are at least partially counter-shaped to each other in order to interface at a welding interface of an abutment edge of the lenticular body. The container body delimits a containment seat that houses a light source and the lenticular body is applied to the container body so as to close the containment seat. A redirection surface is adapted to receive laser beams, to concentrate and reflect them towards the welding interface. The redirection surface is arranged on an inner face of the abutment edge, the inner face facing the containment seat and incident with the welding interface. A method of making the vehicle light is also disclosed.

Method of making a vehicle light and related vehicle light

Vehicle light comprising a container body, a lenticular body, a light guide, including a body having a prevailing longitudinal extension (L) that defines the propagation direction of the light beam inside the body by total internal reflection. The body has a first breakline that extends from the first to the second side wall. The first breakline includes a plurality of first holes that produce, through successive refractions, a scattering the light rays (Ri) towards the light outlet wall so as to emit a light beam with opalescent effect. The first holes are adjacent to each other without interruption, and the first holes of the first breakline are pass-through with respect to a thickness of the body of the light guide, penetrating from a first face to a second face of the body for a depth equal to the thickness.

Vehicle light comprising a portion of light emission with opalescent effect

A vehicle light comprising a container body that houses at least one light source that emits a plurality of light rays (Ri). A lenticular body is at least partially crossed by the light beam produced by the light source. A diffuser body faces at least one light source, so as to receive the light beam from the diffuser body and extends along a main transverse extension (T-T) perpendicular to a main direction of propagation (L-L) of the light beam. The diffuser body comprises a first group of first optical elements defining cylindrical or spherical optics which scatter the light rays (Ri) towards the light output wall and emit an opalescent light beam. The first optical elements of the first group form a single body, and the first optical elements are separated from the light source and the lenticular body by air gaps.

A lighting and/or signalling device includes a container body having containment seats housing at least one light source for emitting light. A lenticular body closes the containment seats and is suitable to receive the beam of light and propagate it. A first lighting portion diffuses light of a predefined color, delimited by a first optic filter, having a first color different from the predefined color. Each light source is inside the containment seat and receives the beam of light, propagates it along a light guide body and emits it across the lenticular body. A second optic filter has a second color. The light produced by each light source and filtered by the second and by the first optic filter comes out of the lenticular body having the predefined color. The first optic filters are the same color so as to prove substantially indistinguishable when the respective light sources are deactivated.

Lighting and/or signalling device for vehicles

Vehicle light comprising a container body that houses at least one light source, a lenticular body, a light guide, the light source, so as to receive the light beam and transmit it to a light outlet wall. The light guide comprises a body that defines the propagation direction of the light beam inside the body by total internal reflection. The body has a first groove, comprising a plurality of first holes, defining cylindrical or spherical optics that produce a scattering of said light rays (Ri) towards the light outlet wall so as to emit a light beam with opalescent effect. The first holes are adjacent to each other without interruption and are blind with respect to a thickness of the body of the light guide, penetrating from a first face of the body for a first depth less than said thickness.

An automotive light including: a rear casing, which is substantially basin-shaped and is structured in such a way as to be fixed on the vehicle body; a front half-shell, which is arranged to close the mouth of the rear casing and is provided with at least a transparent or semitransparent portion; and at least one lighting assembly, in turn including a platelike light-guide body, which extends within the rear casing in such a way as to place a front sidewall thereof so that it faces the transparent or semitransparent portion of the front half-shell and a rear sidewall thereof so that it faces the bottom of the rear casing; and a light-emitting device, which is located within a transverse slot that extends within the platelike light-guide body, from the rear sidewall to the front sidewall, remaining substantially perpendicular to the midplane of the platelike light-guide body and substantially parallel to the optical axis of the automotive light.

Automotive lighting

An automotive light includes a substantially basin-shaped rear body; a front lenticular half-shell arranged to close the mouth of the rear body and includes a ribbon-like, transparent or semitransparent portion; and a first lighting assembly structured to emit light when electricity powered, and arranged within the rear body to backlight the ribbon-like portion of the front lenticular half-shell. The first lighting assembly includes a light-guide plate made of light-conducting material and a linear-extending light source within the rear body next to the light-guide plate, and structured to direct emitted light towards the inside of the light-guide plate. The linear-extending light source includes a row of light-emitting diodes which face the light-guide plate and are placed spaced side-by-side to one another, and a power-supply and control circuit which sequentially turns on the diodes so as to illuminate in sequence an equal number of segments of the light-guide plate.

Automotive light

An automotive light is provided that includes a light-guide bar made of photoconductive-material, which is at least partially positioned substantially grazing a corresponding transparent or semitransparent portion of the front lenticular half-shell of the light, and a second light source which is structured so as to emit light when electricity powered, and is arranged inside the rear body, close to one end of the light-guide bar, so as to direct the light produced inside the body of said light-guide bar. The light-guide bar is provided with a longitudinal light-extractor band which extends along the lateral side of the bar, and a multitude of deflector prisms which have an approximately triangle-shaped cross-section and are conveniently arranged along the longitudinal light-extractor band. One or more deflector prisms are shaped so that the active deflector surface has a bulging/arched profile substantially over the whole width of the longitudinal band.

An automotive light including a substantially basin-shaped rear body structured so to be fixed onto the vehicle body; a front lenticular semi-shell provided with at least one band-like, transparent or semi-transparent portion; and at least a first lighting assembly, which is structured so as to emit light when electrically powered and is arranged so as to backlight the band-like; the first lighting assembly including: a first light-guiding plate made of photoconductive material which extends from the bottom of the rear body up to/close to the front lenticular semi-shell, while remaining perpendicular to the front lenticular semi-shell; and a second light-guiding plate made of photoconductive material, which laterally rests on/is joined with one of the two larger faces of the first light-guiding plate, close to the front lateral side of the same first light-guiding plate, so as to form an L-shaped structure which extends tangentially to the front lenticular semi-shell.

An automotive light including a rear shell which is substantially tub-shaped and is structured so as to be fixed onto the vehicle body; a front lenticular half-shell which is provided with at least one portion made of transparent or semitransparent material, and is arranged to close the mouth of the rear shell; and at least a first main light source which is structured so as to emit light when electricity powered, and is placed within the rear shell in such a position as to backlight a corresponding transparent or semitransparent portion of the front lenticular half-shell; the automotive light further including at least one light-guiding section-bar made of light-conducting material, which is placed on the bottom of a corresponding slot or groove specifically obtained within the rear shell; and at least one auxiliary light source which is structured so as to emit light when electricity powered, and is placed within the rear shell so as to direct the emitted light directly into the body of the light-guiding section-bar; the light-guiding section-bar made of light-conducting material being provided with a cross section substantially circular or elliptic in shape, and with a longitudinal flat bevel facing the bottom of the slot or groove and structured so as to cause the light travelling in the light-guiding section-bar to exit towards the transparent or semitransparent portion of the lenticular half-shell above the light-guiding section-bar.
