A method, system and computer program product for facilitating customers to upgrade their hardware or software. An electronic problem ticketing system of a software/hardware vendor receives a request from a customer to open a problem ticket to service a designated version/model of the software/hardware product. The ticketing system acquires the number of users utilizing the software/hardware product requested to be serviced for various versions/models of the software/hardware product. A graphical diagram is generated depicting the number of users utilizing the software/hardware product requested to be serviced for various versions/models of the software/hardware product. A hyperlink to a social media website that contains information of the benefits of using a latest version or model of the software or hardware product is inserted in the graphical diagram, where after displaying such information, an instruction is received from the user to upgrade the software or hardware product.

Usage-based hardware or software upgrades

A method, system, and/or computer program product improves an emotional state for a user by activating an improvement device. A speech counter determines a current spoken word count of words spoken by a user during a current predefined time period, where the words spoken by the user are detected by a microphone. One or more processors determine a threshold spoken word count for the user, where the threshold spoken word count historically has improved an emotional state for the user. In response to the current spoken word count being less than the threshold spoken word count, one or more processors activate an improvement device, where the improvement device guides the user to increase the current spoken word count in order to improve the emotional state for the user by reaching the threshold spoken word count.

Emotional state-based control of a device

A system, method, and program product is provided that configures video handlers pertaining to a dependent individual. Configuring includes setting alert thresholds. Visual locations are configured. Visual images that pertain to caregivers of the dependent individual are configured. Video streams are received from video sources. Video streams are compared to configured locations to classify the dependent individual's location. Video stream is analyzed to determine whether the dependent individual is alone or with others. If with others, a list of known persons is determined by comparing the video streams with the configured visual images. The configured video handlers are initiated based on the inputs of the location and the people present with the dependent individual. Video handlers trigger alerts when thresholds are reached. Alerts include performing actions to protect the dependent individual from harm.

System and method for pattern based thresholding applied to video surveillance monitoring

Embodiments that indicate usage information of services for wireless communication devices via ambient elements are disclosed. Some embodiments determine usage of a service for a wireless communication device and manipulate one or more ambient elements to indicate the usage to a user of the device. Various embodiments may determine usage by measuring a quantity of data transferred or measuring a number of voice minutes consumed according to a rate plan. Changing ambient elements may comprise activating vibration modules or changing colors of screen elements, or changing screen brightness of the devices, as examples. Examples of wireless communication devices are cell phones, smartphones, satellite phones, and other types of mobile communication devices that use wireless communication services.

Ambient information for usage of wireless communication devices

A mechanism for managing energy consumption of electrical devices within a home or building. Energy usage data is collected for a first electrical outlet connected to an unidentified electrical device in a facility. A pattern of energy usage is determined from the energy usage data collected at the first electrical outlet. The pattern of energy usage of the first electrical outlet is then compared against known patterns of energy usage for one or more other electrical outlets. Responsive to identifying a match between the pattern of energy usage of the energy usage data collected at the first electrical outlet and a known pattern of energy usage of a second electrical outlet in the one or more other electrical outlets, the electrical device connected to the first electrical outlet is identified as the same electrical device that is associated with the known pattern of energy usage of the second electrical outlet.

A method and system provides for a single-pass review and feedback of a document. During audio playback of the document to be reviewed, voice-activated recording of feedback and submission of feedback relative to the location in the original document are accomplished. This provides for a fully integrated, single pass review and feedback of documentation to occur.

Integrated system and method for mobile audio playback and dictation

Multiple users generate separate websites, which are compiled into an approved list of websites for an organization. This list of approved websites is saved in a database location. When a user desires to access the communication network, this method of this invention detects and intercepts the access attempt and determines whether the website identified in the access attempt is accessible by the particular user. The determination of whether the desired website is accessible to the user will depend on certain defined criteria such as time of workday or length of a connection session of the user with the communication network.
