A messaging system identifies a received message as a notification message from a conversation system in a media application. The messaging system obtains rendering information to render a current state of the conversation thread represented by the message. The message system renders the current state of the followed conversation thread, with actuators that provide interactive functionality allowing the user to interact with the conversation thread, in the message viewer of the user's messaging system.

Techniques of relevant content surfacing in a computer productivity platform are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, at an email server of the computer productivity platform, an email having a message body containing content and determining whether the content of the email contains a request to or a commitment by the user. In response to determining that the content of the email contains a request to or a commitment, inserting metadata containing one or more properties of the request or commitment into the email, the metadata. Then, when viewing of the content of the email by the user is detected, the computer productivity platform is queried for additional content using the properties of the request or commitment as keywords. The additional content is then surfaced to the user as being related to the content in the message body of the email.

Techniques to contain lateral movement of attackers through just-in-time (JIT) provisioned accounts comprising an account management component to receive a request from a first account via a client device for a second account to access a server device in a set of server devices, an account authorization component to authorize the request for the second account based at least partially on account information associated with the first account, an account provisioning component to provision the second account to enable a client to access the server device, and an account notification component to provide account information associated with the second account to a client via the client device. Techniques to provide network security through just-in-time provisioned accounts

Communication services enable two or more users to communicate electronically using multiple modes of communication. Conversations between groups of users are common, where one or more communications may be exchanged repeatedly over a period of time. In some scenarios, a communication desired to be conveyed by a participant in a conversation may be a simple endorsement, such as receipt acknowledgment and various levels of social activity actions and/or gestures, which may be useful for other participants of the conversation to see as well. Provision of endorsement indications in communication environments may enable the participant to select an endorsement for a communication or a conversation without explicitly replying to the communication or conversation, where an endorsement indication based on the selected endorsement may be transmitted and displayed to the other participants of the conversation through an endorsement module of the communication service.
