Various embodiments of the present technology generally relate to systems and methods for providing an interface to securely handle messages from 5G services for network monitoring purposes. In an example, a packet encoder is provided as an interface handler. The packet encoder may receive from one or more network functions (NFs) in a communication exchange on a 5G network, an input including a plurality of messages. Upon receipt, the packet encoder may determine an input format from the input and determine an output format for a feed generated based on the plurality of messages. The packet encoder may also translate the plurality of messages from the input format to the output format, where the input format is different than the output format, and the feed includes the plurality of messages in the output format. The packet encoder may then transmit the feed to a network monitoring system.

5G interface handler for legacy systems

Various embodiments of the present technology generally relate to systems and methods for providing an interface to securely handle messages from 5G services for network monitoring purposes. In an example, a network traffic monitoring system is provided as an interface handler. The network traffic monitoring system may receive from a plurality of network functions (NFs) in a communication exchange on a 5G network, a first plurality of messages, determine microservices to apply to the first plurality of messages, and process, by respective microservice modules, the first plurality of messages using the microservices. The network traffic monitoring system may also generate a feed based on processing the first plurality of messages using the microservices and transmit, to a network monitoring system, the feed, where the first plurality of messages is in an input format and the feed is in an output format, the input format being different than the output format.

Event processing techniques for updating a database in real time based on events in a continuous event stream are disclosed. The techniques can update the database to incorporate information from thousands of received events per second. The events can include metrics measuring milestones for an organizational process defined by a user. Moreover, multiple streams can include metrics from many tenants concurrently. The techniques include receiving, from a first user device, information identifying a group identifier for a first action object. The techniques then include assigning the identifier to the first action object and to at least one other action object. The techniques then include transmitting, to a service provider, data identifying the assignment of the group identifier, receiving second information identifying events processed by the service provider, identifying events corresponding to the identifier, and generating a user interface configured to present elements corresponding to the identified events.

Techniques for configuring workflow event processing and identifier federation

Event processing techniques for updating a database in real time based on events in a continuous event stream are disclosed. The techniques can update the database to incorporate information from thousands of received events per second. The events can include metrics measuring milestones for an organizational process defined by a user. Moreover, multiple streams can include metrics from many tenants concurrently. The techniques include receiving a plurality of events corresponding to a time interval and identifying that two events share a value of a key attribute. The techniques then include causing to be generated an in-memory combined database record comprising a combination of first and second attribute information from the two events and the value of the key attribute. In response to a trigger signal, the techniques include transmitting a single message, based at least in part on the combined database record, to update the database.

Techniques for in-memory stitching

An event processing system for processing events in an event stream is disclosed. The system can execute instructions to receive a continuous query, apply a transformation to the continuous query to generate a query plan for the continuous query, transform the query plan using a transformation algorithm to generate a transformed query plan, receive a micro-batch stream of input events related to an application, process the input events of the micro-batch stream based at least in part on the transformed query plan to generate a set of output events related to the application, and store the set of output events related to the application in an output queue.

Complex event processing for micro-batch streaming

A system and method for dynamic log management of stream processing in a distributed computing environment, such as, for example, a streaming application or stream analytics system. A streaming application can be deployed or published to a cluster, to execute as a client application. A cluster manager coordinates with worker nodes, to commit tasks associated with the streaming application. If a need arises to generate lower-level log data associated with the streaming application, for example to diagnose an underlying cause of a warning/error message, a configuration job can be committed to the cluster to execute as a separate log-configuration application. The log-configuration application operates with the cluster manager to determine the set of working nodes currently associated with the streaming application, and modify the logger configuration at those nodes, to record or otherwise provide log data according to a modified logging level, for example to provide lower-level log messages.

System and method for dynamic log management of stream processing in a distributed environment

An event processing system for distributing a continuous query, and processing events in an event stream, is disclosed. The system can synchronize timestamps across all partitions by adding a heartbeat propagator component propagating a heartbeat signal for silent partitions. The system can further include a timestamp tracker component that tracks the maximum observed timestamp across all partitions for each batch, and sends this to each partition. The system can distribute partitions of the events to the worker nodes, and instruct a heartbeat propagator component to generate a heartbeat for a first worker node corresponding to an event in a different partition. The system receives outputs from the worker nodes and combines these into a single result corresponding to a continuous query. The system can further implement a timestamp tracker to select a highest timestamp value of a previous batch, and send the value to the worker nodes.

Heartbeat propagation in a distributed stream processing system

An event processing system for distributing a geospatial computation, and processing events in an event stream, is disclosed. The disclosed system and methods can apply a spatial function, such as distance, within Distance, and proximity, in parallel to a stream comprising event locations. The disclosed system improves over existing geospatial computations by providing an efficient parallel implementation that can handle a large number of moving objects in real time with little latency. A computing device receives an event stream comprising locations and can geohash the locations to obtain geohashes identifying geo grid cells containing the locations. The computing device can determine respective sets of neighboring geohashes identifying neighboring cells in the geo grid. The computing device then partitions the geospatial computation by mapping, based on the respective geo hash and the respective set of neighboring geo hashes, the events to processors.

Geo-hashing for proximity computation in a stream of a distributed system

An event processing system for processing events in an event stream is disclosed. The system can execute instructions to receive a continuous query, apply a transformation to the continuous query to generate a query plan for the continuous query, monitor the continuous query using a monitoring transformation process, receive a micro-batch stream of input events related to an application, and process the input events of the micro-batch stream based at least in part on the monitoring transformation process to generate a set of output events related to the application.

Non-intrusive monitoring output of stages in micro-batch streaming

An event processing system for processing events in an event stream is disclosed. The system can execute instructions to receive a micro-batch stream of input events, process the input events using the CQL engine to generate a set of output events, generate, using a snapshot management algorithm implemented by the CQL engine, a snapshot of a current state of a system based at least in part on the set of output events related to the application, generate a first directory structure to access snapshot information associated with the snapshot of the current state of the system, generate a second directory structure to generate a list of snapshots associated with the current state of the system, and determine based at least in part on the snapshot management algorithm, a process to get, add, or clean the list of snapshots associated with the current state of the system.

Managing snapshots and application state in micro-batch based event processing systems

An event processing system for distributing geospatial computations with geo-fences is disclosed. The system can partition and distribute geo-fences efficiently for parallel computation, and can track a potentially unlimited number of moving objects. A computing device determines a minimum bounding rectangle (MBR) covering a geographic area indexed by a geo-grid, and partitions the MBR and a set of geo-fences to a plurality of processing nodes. The computing device receives input events of a stream comprising locations within the geographic area. The device distributes the events to partitions on processing nodes, based at least on the events' locations. The device can determine a partition identifier corresponding to a respective location in constant time. The computing device then combines partition results to obtain a single geospatial computation result.
