A process for producing benzene and xylenes comprising introducing hydrocarbon liquid stream to hydroprocessor to yield first gas stream and hydrocarbon product (C+); optionally introducing hydrocarbon product to first aromatics separating unit to produce saturated hydrocarbons (C+) and first aromatics stream (C+); feeding hydrocarbon product and/or saturated hydrocarbons to reformer to produce reformer product, second gas stream, and hydrogen stream; introducing reformer product to second aromatics separating unit to produce a non-aromatics recycle stream and second aromatics stream comprising C+ aromatics; recycling non-aromatics recycle stream to reformer; introducing first aromatics stream and/or second aromatics stream to third aromatics separating unit to produce first Caromatics (benzene), Caromatics (toluene), Caromatics (xylenes&ethylbenzene), Caromatics, Caromatics, and C+ aromatics; introducing Caromatics, Caromatics, Caromatics, or combinations thereof to disproportionation and transalkylation unit to yield third aromatics stream (benzene and xylenes); and conveying C+ aromatics to hydroprocessor.

Conversion of waste plastic through pyrolysis to high value products like benzene and xylenes

A process for producing cumene comprising converting plastics to hydrocarbon liquid and pyrolysis gas; feeding hydrocarbon liquid to hydroprocessor to yield hydrocarbon product and first gas stream; feeding hydrocarbon product to reforming unit to produce reforming product, second gas stream, and hydrogen; separating reforming product into non-aromatics recycle stream and second aromatics stream (C+ aromatics); recycling non-aromatics recycle stream to reforming unit; separating second aromatics stream into benzene, C, C, C, C, and C+ aromatics; contacting C, C, and/or Caromatics with a disproportionation&transalkylation catalyst/H2 to yield benzene&xylenes; conveying C+ aromatics to hydroprocessor; introducing pyrolysis gas, first and/or second gas stream to first separator to produce first propylene stream, first C&Cunsaturated stream, and saturated gas (Hand Csaturated hydrocarbons); introducing first C&Cunsaturated stream to metathesis reactor to produce second propylene stream; and feeding benzene, and first and/or second propylene stream to alkylation unit to produce cumene.

A process for producing propylene and cumene comprising converting plastics to hydrocarbon liquid and pyrolysis gas in pyrolyzer; feeding hydrocarbon liquid to hydroprocessor to yield hydrocarbon product and first gas stream; introducing hydrocarbon product to second separator to produce first Caromatics and refined product; feeding refined product to steam cracker to produce steam cracker product; introducing steam cracker product to third separator to produce second Caromatics, third propylene stream, second C&Cunsaturated stream, Csaturated gas, and balance hydrocarbons product; introducing pyrolysis gas and/or first gas stream to first separator to produce first propylene stream, first C&Cunsaturated stream, and saturated gas stream; feeding first and/or second C&Cunsaturated stream to metathesis reactor to produce second propylene stream; feeding first and/or second Caromatics, and first, second, and/or third propylene stream to alkylation unit to produce cumene; and conveying balance hydrocarbons product to pyrolyzer and/or hydroprocessor.

A process for processing mixed plastics comprising simultaneous pyrolysis and dechlorination of the mixed plastics, the process comprising contacting the mixed plastics with a zeolitic catalyst in a pyrolysis unit to produce a hydrocarbon product comprising a gas phase and a liquid phase; and separating the hydrocarbon product into a hydrocarbon gas stream and a hydrocarbon liquid stream, wherein the hydrocarbon gas stream comprises at least a portion of the gas phase of the hydrocarbon product, wherein the hydrocarbon liquid stream comprises at least a portion of the liquid phase of the hydrocarbon product, wherein the hydrocarbon liquid stream comprises one or more chloride compounds in an amount of less than about 100 ppmw chloride, based on the total weight of the hydrocarbon liquid stream, and wherein the hydrocarbon liquid stream is characterized by a viscosity of less than about 400 cP at a temperature of 300&#xb0; C.

Catalytic process of simultaneous pyrolysis of mixed plastics and dechlorination of the pyrolysis oil

A process for processing plastic waste comprising converting plastic waste to hydrocarbon liquid and a first Cgas; contacting hydrocarbon liquid with a first hydroprocessing catalyst in hydroprocessing unit to yield a second Cgas and a first hydrocarbon product comprising C+ liquid hydrocarbons; introducing the first hydrocarbon product to a first separating unit to produce treated hydrocarbon stream comprising Chydrocarbons and a first heavies stream comprising C9+ hydrocarbons; contacting the first heavies stream with a second hydroprocessing catalyst in hydrodealkylating unit to yield a second hydrocarbon product comprising C+ liquid hydrocarbons and a third Cgas; conveying the second hydrocarbon product to the first separating unit; feeding treated hydrocarbon stream to steam cracker to produce steam cracker product; separating steam cracker product into olefin gas, saturated hydrocarbons gas, aromatics, and a second heavies stream; and conveying the second heavies stream to hydroprocessing unit.
