Systems and methods for ease of installation of modular furniture are disclosed herein. Various embodiments include a method comprising: receiving a ceiling scan; mounting a rails system based on the ceiling scan; installing robots for machine control of the modular furniture using the rails system; and positioning the modular furniture using a positioning control system electrically connected to the robots.

The battery pack charger has at least one transmitter coil for generating a magnetic field which induces a voltage in the receiver coil, and a control circuit for controlling the amount of power that is provided to the transmitter coil.

The second bearing is received onto the rear carrier plate to support the carrier relative to the housing.

A power tool includes a housing, an output shaft having a tool axis, and a motion sensor that senses motion of the tool housing. A control circuit receives an input signal from the motion sensor, to make a first determination, based on the input signal, whether the tool is being operated in a horizontal mode or a vertical mode. The control circuit makes a second determination, based on the input signal, whether the tool axis is substantially level when the tool is being operated in the horizontal mode or the tool axis is substantially plumb when the tool is being operated in the vertical mode. An indicator receives an output signal from the control circuit that causes the indicator to indicate whether the tool axis is level when being operated in the horizontal mode or plumb when being operated in the vertical mode.

A power tool includes a housing, a motor disposed in the housing, a transmission disposed in the housing and coupled to the motor, an output end effector coupled to the transmission, a control circuit for controlling power delivery from a power source to the motor, and a force sensing electronic clutch including a force sensor coupled to a substantially stationary element of the transmission. The force sensor senses a reaction torque transmitted from the end effector to at least a portion of the transmission. The sensor is configured to generate a first electronic signal corresponding to an amount of the reaction torque. The control circuit compares the first electronic signal with a second electronic signal corresponding to a desired threshold torque value, and initiates a protective operation when a value of the first electronic signal indicates that the reaction torque has exceeded the desired threshold torque value.

The motor is received in the housing and includes a stator and an output shaft that extends through the stator. The transmission is driven by the motor and includes an input pinion that is mounted to the output shaft for rotation therewith. The output spindle is driven by the transmission. The front spindle bearing is mounted to a front end of the output shaft radially between the housing and the output shaft. The rear spindle bearing is mounted to a rear end of the output spindle and a portion of the rear spindle bearing rotates with the output shaft.

A power tool includes a housing, an output member that rotates about a longitudinal axis, and a motor drivably connected to the output member. A rotational motion sensor is arranged in the housing and operable to detect a user input that includes a rotational motion of the housing in a desired rotational direction about the longitudinal axis of the output member. A controller is configured to receive a first input indicative of a user-desired rotational motion of the output member, and a second input, from the rotational motion sensor, indicative of an actual rotational motion of the power tool. The controller determines a user-desired rotational direction of the output member about the axis from the first input, determines an actual rotational direction of the housing about the axis from the second input, and causes the motor to drive the output member to simulate ratcheting movement in the user-desired rotational direction.

A power tool includes a housing, a motor contained in the housing, an output shaft extending proximate a front of the housing, an end effector coupled to the output shaft and configured to hold an accessory; and a transmission disposed in the housing between the motor and the output shaft. The transmission includes a variable ratio gear set configured to transmit power from the motor to the output shaft at a substantially variable speed ratio. The transmission may further include a constant ratio gear set configured to transmit power from the motor at a substantially constant speed ratio. The transmission may be automatically or manually shiftable between a first mode where it transmits power through the constant speed ratio gear set and a second mode where it transmits power through the variable speed ratio gear set.

In an aspect, pre-magnetized magnets are inserted in recesses in an inner surface of a stator housing with the recesses retaining each magnet placed in the stator housing between anchors from being angularly displaced by subsequently inserted magnets. In an aspect, each pole has at least three magnets, at least one of the magnets being thinner than the other magnets. In an aspect, the outer most magnets are made of magnetic material that is more resistant to demagnetization than at least one of the other magnets.
