An intrabuccally rapidly disintegrating tablet which is manufactured by a simple method, has an enough practical hardness and is rapidly disintegrated in the buccal cavity and its production method. The intrabuccally rapidly disintegrating tablet is produced by growing a powder material into a granulated material with a fixed particle diameter, the powder material including a sugar alcohol or a saccharide as main ingredient, each of which is first particle having an average particle diameter of not more than 30 &#x3bc;m, by mixing thus obtained granulated material with an active ingredient and a disintegrant, and by compressing the mixture into a predetermined shape.

Intrabuccally rapidly disintegrating tablet and a production method of the tablets

A production method and system for granulating powdered material wherein powdered material is fluidized by applying heated pulsating vibration air, and the fluidized powdered material is suspended up and down at a regular cycle by means of heated pulsating vibration air, the aggregated material is compressed by further vibration of pulsating vibration air, whereby the aggregated powdered material is efficiently made into granulated material with high density and rather small specific volume without causing projection on the surface and without being made porous. The production system is comprised of a granulation tank for storing powdered material to be granulated, the granulation tank having a supply port for introducing heated air at the bottom thereof, a discharge port for discharging the introduced heated air at the top thereof, and a fluidization bed provided above the supply port for receiving the powdered material. A spray apparatus for spraying a binder solution provided in the granulation tank for aggregating the powdered material stored in the granulation tank for growing the material is provided. An air source connected to the supply port of the granulation tank via a conduit pipe; heating apparatus interposed in the conduit pipe for heating the air generated from the air source; and a pulsating vibration air generation means interposed in the conduit pipe for converting the air generated from the air source to pulsating vibration air.

Process for the production of tablets and tablets

A mixing and blending method for powdered or granular material includes supplying pulsating vibration air into an airtight tank from a bottom thereof. An airtight tank having a porous bottom plate on which the material is stored is provided for the mixing and blending method. In the system pulsating vibration air is generated by periodically increasing and decreasing the amount of blowing air at a low frequency. Pulsating vibration air is introduced into the airtight tank from the bottom of the airtight tank so as to generate air flow going upward through the porous bottom of the airtight tank. As a result, powdered or granular material stored on the porous bottom plate in the airtight tank is uniformly mixed and blended in the airtight tank while continuously moving up and down as in a convectional manner.

Mixing method of powdered or granular material utilizing pulsating vibration air

A pulsating vibration air generator in which wave height, frequency and wave shape of the pulsating vibration air can be optionally modified and such pulsating vibration air can be periodically and continuously emitted. The pulsating vibration air generator has a valve chamber with an inlet port and an outlet port where a valve plug and a valve seat with a control opening are provided and a cam mechanism which moves the valve plug to open or close the opening of the valve seat, whereby positive or negative pulsating vibration air is emitted from the outlet port while pressurized air is supplied into the inlet port or air is sucked from the inlet port.

Pulsating vibration air generation means

A sprayer and method for spraying powdered material activated by pulsating vibration air. The sprayer comprises an elastic membrane, a storage tank for storing powdered material provided with the elastic membrane at the bottom opening, and a pulsating vibration air generator for supplying pulsating vibration air to the elastic membrane. The sprayer so constructed is designed to uniformly and diffusely spray the powdered material stored in the storage tank when the elastic membrane is forcedly vibrated up and down in compliance with the frequency of the pulsating vibration air by receiving pulsating vibration air from the pulsating vibration air generator.
