A system and method of providing content protection for OMA Broadcast smartcard profiles. When an electronic device has a content item for encryption, the device generates a random number. The electronic device then transmits a content encryption key request message, including the random number and a service encryption key identifier, to a smartcard, which then responds with a a content encryption key response message. The content encryption key response message includes the random number and a content encryption key. The electronic device can then use the content encryption key to manage the encryption of the content item. The electronic device stores random number, service key identifier and encrypted content item into a certain file format. The electronic device sends again content encryption key request at the time of rendering. The content encryption key returned by the content encryption key response message is used for the decryption of the stored content item.

Content protection for OMA broadcast smartcard profiles

A method of organizing a plurality of servers defines a set of servers. The method also defines one of the servers of the set of servers as a server which is configured to control the communication of information to other servers in the set to support heterogeneous application requirements and interoperability between hardware and software systems.

Method of organising servers

A system and method for transmitting protected real-time content from one user to another is described. In a first aspect, a user sends a Rights Object to another user. Mechanism to create pinhole for existing session in middlebox

A technique for selecting the offset between data bursts and their respective control packets in an optical burst switching arrangement includes: randomly generating a plurality of tokens; receiving a plurality of sequentially generated data bursts; and receiving a plurality of control packets, each control packet corresponding to a respective one of the plurality of data bursts. One of the plurality of control packets is first outputted and its corresponding respective data burst is then outputted at a time corresponding to the generation of the first of the plurality of tokens which occurs at a time in which no data burst is being outputted, the outputting of the data burst being offset from the output of its corresponding respective control packet by a time period. The average rate at which the plurality of data bursts are outputted may be equal to the reciprocal of the mean of the probability distribution used to generate the plurality of tokens. The plurality of tokens may be randomly generated according to a Poisson process.
