Apparatuses, methods, apparatuses and systems for operating a control fixture are disclosed. One method includes generating a sense signal, maintaining a communications link between the control fixture and a network, tracking a location of a first mobile device, identifying the first mobile device being within a threshold distance of a second mobile device or a place, and allowing the first mobile device or a user of the first mobile device to receive information associated with the second mobile device or the physical place, or to provide information to be associated with the second mobile device or the physical place upon identifying the first mobile device to be within the threshold distance of the second mobile device or the place.

Associating information with an asset or a physical space

Apparatuses, methods, apparatuses and systems for operating a control fixture are disclosed. One method includes generating a sense signal, maintaining a communications link between the control fixture and a network, generating adjustment control based the sense signal or communication from the network, adjusting an environmental parameter of a structure of the control fixture based on the adjustment control, tracking a location of a first mobile device, identifying the first mobile device being within a threshold distance of a second mobile device or a place, and allowing the first mobile device or a user of the first mobile device to receive information associated with the second mobile device or the physical place, or to provide information to be associated with the second mobile device or the physical place upon identifying the first mobile device to be within the threshold distance of the second mobile device or the place.

Apparatuses, methods and systems for dual-technology occupancy detection are disclosed. One dual-technology occupancy detection apparatus includes a motion sensor sensing motion, an ambient light sensor sensing variation in ambient light, and a controller for detecting occupancy and controlling a building environmental parameter based on the sensed motion and the sensed variations in ambient light. One method of detecting occupancy for controlling lighting includes sensing motion with a motion sensor, sensing variations in ambient light with an ambient light sensor, and detecting occupancy and controlling activation of a light based on the sensed motion and the sensed variations in ambient light.

Dual-technology occupancy detection

Methods, apparatuses and systems of building control, are disclosed. One system includes a plurality of building fixtures and at least one sensor interfaced with at least one of the plurality of building fixtures. Further, each building fixture includes a communication port and a controller. For this embodiment, each controller is configured to independently control at least one of an environmental load or a security device, either receive or help designate the building fixture as belonging to a logical group of building fixtures, and share at least one of sensor or state information with other building fixtures within the logical group of building fixtures, through the communication port.

Logical groupings of intelligent building fixtures

A system is provided for locating and tracking tags within an area. Each tag includes a transmitter configured to transmit a unique identifier periodically. Location messages are received and processed by at least one monitoring system to determine whether a tag has changed location.

Personnel and asset tracking method and apparatus

A system is provided for locating and tracking tags within an awareness area including a first sub-awareness area and a second sub-awareness area. Each tag includes a transmitter configured to transmit a unique identifier periodically, and at least one tag is assigned to the first sub-awareness area. The system includes a first monitoring system associated with the first sub-awareness area and a second monitoring system associated with the second sub-awareness area.

A personnel and asset tracking system for locating and tracking objects throughout an awareness area comprises a communication network, a central server connected to said communication network maintaining an awareness area database, a plurality of receiver nodes, and a plurality of tags. Each tag is associated with an object to be tracked and has a transmitter which periodically transmits a tag transmission including a unique object identifier.
