Systems and methods for providing centralized authentication storage and management are described. An illustrative method includes a gateway device detecting that a first computing device connected to an on-premises network logs into a cloud-based service by way of the gateway device, stores an authentication token provided to the gateway device by the cloud-based service, and obtains authorization data indicating that a second computing device connected to the on-premises network is authorized to access the cloud-based service. The method may further include a gateway device that shares the authentication token with a second computing device.

Centralized authentication storage and management for cloud-based services

One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for automatically connecting a client device to a remote private network are provided. In an example, a networking device receives, from a client device, a first network-access request indicative of a first service set identifier (SSID). In response to the first network-access request, the networking device (i) establishes an encrypted connection between the networking device and a remote private network, and (ii) provides the client device with access to resources of the remote private network via the encrypted connection.

Systems and methods for automatic connection of client device to remote private network

In some implementations, a first device may obtain first channel state information (CSI) of a second device. The first device may determine that a variance of the first CSI exceeds a variance threshold. A device may receive radio frequency (RF) transmissions from access points provided in a zone, and may calculate channel state information (CSI) for the access points based on the RF transmissions. The device may identify CSI phases that satisfy a phase threshold to eliminate surrounding movement in the zone and to focus on an entry location of the zone, and may perform a short-time Fourier transform of the CSI phases to generate a frequency versus time graph. The device may perform a spectrogram analysis of the frequency versus time graph or may process the frequency versus time graph, with a machine learning model, to determine a quantity of people in the zone and a start and stop times associated with entries and exits of the people to and from the zone. The device may perform actions based on the quantity of people and the start and stop times.

Systems and methods for detecting motion in a zone

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which an inter-networked content service is provided. The inter-networked content service may allow an end device to receive content from a set top box when the end device is not connected to a local area network of the set top box. The inter-networked content service may provide for push notification messaging between the end device and the set top box to obtain network address, status, and port information in support of a content session.

A device may receive information that identifies a request, by a user device, to receive streaming media content associated with a channel. The device may cause the channel to be activated based on the request. The device may receive, from the user device, a quantity of messages based on the channel being activated. The user device may receive the streaming media content associated with the channel. The device may determine, based on the quantity of messages, that the user device is not tuned to the channel. The device may cause the channel to be deactivated based on the user device not being tuned to the channel.

A device can receive information related to an availability of content from multiple content delivery networks or a capability of the multiple content delivery networks to provide the content. The device can determine to receive a first portion of the content from a first content delivery network based on the information. The device can receive the first portion of the content from the first content delivery network. The device can receive additional information related to the availability of the content from the multiple content delivery networks or the capability of the multiple content delivery networks to provide the content. The device can determine to receive a second portion of the content from a second content delivery network based on the additional information. The device can receive the second portion of the content from the second content delivery network. The device can perform an action.

Dynamically determining a content delivery network from which to receive content

A first device may discover, using a short-range wireless communication protocol, an authentication service advertised by a second device, and may establish, with the second device, a connection using the short-range wireless communication protocol. The first device may display, after establishing the connection with the second device, a first identifier, and may provide to the second device a confirmation request including the first identifier to permit the second device to determine whether a second identifier, input by a user into the second device, matches the first identifier. The first device may receive, from the second device, encrypted credentials to authenticate the user to access a service based on the second device determining whether the second identifier matches the first identifier. The first device may decrypt the encrypted credentials to obtain credentials, and may authenticate, using the credentials, the user to access the service.

Systems and methods for authentication sharing

A device may receive a request, associated with media content, that includes a first segment identifier of a first set of segment identifiers that identify a set of remote locations, external from a local area network, from which a first set of segments of the media content are accessible. The device may determine, based on the first segment identifier and redirect information, a second segment identifier of a second set of segment identifiers that identify a set of local locations, internal to the local area network, from which a second set of segments of media content are accessible. The second set of segments may correspond to the first set of segments. The redirect information may indicate that the second segment identifier corresponds to the first segment identifier. The device may request a segment of the media content using the second segment identifier.

Managing transitions between a local area network and a wide area network during media content playback

An exemplary system for cloud-based media content transcoding includes a local media content server that records a media content program, divides the media content program into a plurality of program segments, generates a program segment playlist including pointers to the plurality of program segments, receives a request for a media content playback device to download the media content program, and transmits the program segment playlist to the media content playback device. The program segment playlist directs the media content playback device to request and download transcoded versions of the program segments from a cloud-based transcoding system located remotely from the local media content server. The cloud-based transcoding system accesses the program segments from the local media content server, and generates and transmits the transcoded versions of the program segments to the media content playback device.

Methods and systems for cloud-based media content transcoding

A system may receive tag information, associated with media content, that includes a tag and a tag time. The system may generate, based on the tag information, clip information that includes a start time and an end time for a media content clip associated with the media content. The system may determine, based on the tag information, advertisement information that identifies an advertisement to be displayed with the media content clip, and indicates how the advertisement is to be displayed. The system may provide the tag information for display via a social media application, and may receive, via the social media application, an indication that the media content clip is to be provided for display to a user. The system may provide the advertisement information and the clip information such that the advertisement and the media content clip are provided for display to the user based on the advertisement information.

Tagging and sharing media content clips with dynamic ad insertion

A device may provide information identifying one or more items of content stored by a home media client. The device may receive a request for content, of the one or more items of content, stored by the home media client. The home media client may store a first copy of the content. The device may identify a second copy of the content based on the request for the content. The second copy of the content may be stored by a storage device of a content delivery network or may be stored by the home media client without being stored by the storage device of the content delivery network. The device may cause the second copy of the content to be provided via the content delivery network as a response to the request regardless of whether the second copy of the content is stored by the storage device of the content delivery network or by the home media client.

Content delivery network integration for home media client content

A network device distributes, to multiple user devices, a client application that includes multiple modular code segment files and obtains updated code segment files and dependency information for the client application, the dependency information associating known defects in the client application with one or more of the updated code segment files. The network device receives an error report from one of the multiple user devices, the error report including a particular defect identifier, and determines, based on the dependency information, that an updated code segment file is available to correct an error indicated by the particular defect identifier. The network device retrieves, from a code segment storage location, the updated code segment file and sends the updated code segment file to the one of the multiple user devices.

Dynamic delivery of code and fixes

A device may receive a segment of media content, and may store the segment in a first location local to the device. The device may generate a playlist, for accessing the media content, that includes a first segment identifier that identifies the first location local to the device. The device may determine that the first segment identifier is to be replaced with a second segment identifier that identifies a second location, remote from the device, from which the segment is accessible. The device may replace, in the playlist, the first segment identifier with the second segment identifier based on determining that the first segment identifier is to be replaced with the second segment identifier. The device may delete the segment from the first location.

Generating a playlist that includes local segment identifiers and remote segment identifiers for media content

A method may include receiving a request for content. The content may be associated with a content availability area. User devices located inside of the content availability area may be permitted access to the content. The method may include determining a first area entirely encompassed by the content availability area and/or a second area entirely encompassing the content availability area. The method may include obtaining first location information that identifies a location of a user device. The method may include selectively obtaining second location information based on whether the user device is located inside of the first area, outside of the second area, or outside of the first area and inside of the second area. The second location information may be more precise than the first location information, and may be used to determine whether the user device is located within the content availability area.
