Logic to register a personal point of sale (POS) device. Logic may communicate with the registration processor to establish a secure communication channel. Logic may access a basic input output system to obtain platform information. Logic may transmit the platform information to the registration processor to identify a certification associated with the device. Logic may communicate with a payment instrument via a card reader. Logic may transmit an encrypted message from the card reader to the registration processor to bind the payment instrument to the device. Logic may receive a communication from the device comprising platform information. Logic may perform a security protocol to establish a secure communication channel with the device. Logic may determine an existence of the certification for the device in the database based upon the platform information. And logic may register the platform in response to locating the certification of the platform.

Methods and arrangements for a personal point of sale device

Embodiments herein may include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media, for a multi-access edge computing (MEC) system. A MEC orchestrator is to receive a request for service that includes a workload from a user agent; and facilitate formation of a SLA for servicing the workload. To facilitate the formation of the SLA includes to obtain, via a decentralized contracting system, bids from a plurality of service providers to respectively service a plurality of functions or tasks of the workload. The MEC orchestrator is also to translate the workload into the plurality of functions or tasks, and schedule servicing of the functions of tasks with the one or more service providers, including one or more edge computing devices, in accordance with the SLA. Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to determine provenance for data supply chains are disclosed. Example instructions cause a machine to at least, in response to data being generated, generate a local data object and object metadata corresponding to the data; hash the local data object; generate a hash of a label of the local data object; generate a hierarchical data structure for the data including the hash of the local data object and the hash of the label of the local data object; generate a data supply chain object including the hierarchical data structure; and transmit the data and the data supply chain object to a device that requested access to the data.

Methods and apparatus to determine provenance for data supply chains

A mechanism is described for facilitating context-based access control of resources for according to one embodiment. A method of embodiments, as described herein, includes receiving a first request to access a resource of a plurality of resources. The first request may be associated with one or more contexts corresponding to a user placing the first request at a computing device. The method may further include evaluating the one or more contexts. The evaluation of the one or more contexts may include matching the one or more contexts with one or more access policies associated with the requested resource. The method may further include accepting the first request if the one or more contexts satisfy at least one of the access policies.

Mechanism for facilitating dynamic context-based access control of resources

Technologies for one-tap connection and synchronization with a device in a non-active state are disclosed. When a user brings a first device enabled for Near Field Communication (NFC) to close proximity of a second NFC-enabled device when the second device is in a non-active state, the second device may be awakened, or placed in an active state, for a period of time to perform one or more operations before returning to the non-active state. These operations include, for example, allowing the first device to access data stored in the second device and synchronizing one or more applications installed on the second device with remote servers.

Connection and synchronization with a device in a non-active state based on near field communication

Methods and devices for NFC-tap file encryption, decryption and access via Near Field Communication (NFC) are disclosed. A user can select an unencrypted file stored in a computing device for encryption. Upon encryption, the file name of the selected file and the encryption key used to encrypt the selected file are transmitted to an NFC-enabled wireless device for storage. The user can select an encrypted file stored in the computing device for access. As the user taps the computing device with the wireless device, the file name of the selected file is transmitted to the wireless device, which in turn transmits a decryption key for decrypting the selected file to the computing device. The computing device decrypts the selected file with the decryption key. The user can now access the decrypted file.

File encryption, decryption and accessvia near field communication

In one embodiment a controller comprises logic to receive, via a near field communication link, an identification packet generated by a remote authentication provider, associate an electronic signature with the identification packet, transmit the identification packet to a remote authentication provider, receive an authorization from the remote authentication provider, receive login information associated with the identification packet, and initiate a login procedure using the login information. Authentication for network access related applications

In one embodiment a controller comprises logic configured to define, for display on a region of a display device coupled to the controller, a dialog box, lock the dialog box such that input/output operations conducted in the dialog box are visible to the secure controller and are not visible to an untrusted execution complex communicatively coupled to the secure controller, receive one or more authentication credentials based on a user input to the dialog box, and use the one or more authentication credentials to establish a secure communication session with a remote service. Trusted service interaction

A user authentication system and method. The user authentication system includes a camera and a processor connected to the camera. The processor receives images from the camera, searches for a user feature in the images, determines if the images require correction, adjusts camera controls in a pre-defined order to provide desired corrections, applies the desired corrections to subsequent images and authenticates the user based on the user feature in the corrected images.

Image quality compensation system and method

An embodiment includes a main compute node that detects the physical presence of a first user and subsequently loads a profile for the first user. The main compute node may detect the first user's presence based on detecting a first compute node corresponding to the first user. For example, the main compute node may be a desktop computer that detects the presence of the first user's Smart phone, which is nearby the first user. The main compute node may unload the first user's profile when the main compute node no longer detects the first user's presence. Upon detecting a second user's presence, the main computer may load a profile for the second user. The profile may include cookies and/or other identifiers for the second user. The profile may facilitate the second user's navigation of a computing environment (e.g. web pages). Other embodiments are addressed herein.
