A display module is provided. The display module includes a plurality of pixels, a first substrate, a plurality of micro pixel packages provided on the first substrate, and a plurality of voltage lines electrically connected between a set of micro pixel packages of the plurality of micro pixel packages that are adjacent to each other in a first direction. Each of the plurality of micro pixel packages includes a second substrate, a plurality of inorganic light-emitting elements provided on the second substrate, and a micro pixel controller provided on the second substrate and configured to control the plurality of inorganic light-emitting elements.

Display module, display apparatus, and method of manufacturing the same

A display module is provided. The display module includes a plurality of sub-pixel circuits, each sub-pixel circuit including: an inorganic light-emitting diode, a transistor connected in parallel with the inorganic light-emitting diode, and a pulse width modulation (PWM) circuit configured to control a light-emitting time of the inorganic light-emitting diode by controlling a voltage of a gate terminal of the transistor based on an applied PWM data voltage that is applied to the PWM circuit; and a pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) circuit which is connected in series with an inorganic light-emitting diode of one of the plurality of sub-pixel circuits, the PAM circuit being configured to provide a driving current having a constant amplitude to the inorganic light-emitting diodes, wherein the inorganic light-emitting diodes of the plurality of sub-pixel circuits are connected in series to each other.

Display module and display device

A display apparatus is provided having a plurality of pixels, which are arranged in M columns and N rows and arranged with a constant row space therebetween. The display apparatus includes a plurality of display modules and a housing configured to support the plurality of display modules. Each of the plurality of display modules includes a plurality of pixel packages each including some pixels of the plurality of pixels, and a plurality of micro pixel controllers each controlling the pixels included in each of the plurality of pixel packages. Each of the micro pixel controllers is disposed in the row space between the plurality of pixels to be long in a horizontal direction that is a row direction.

A light emitting diode (LED) panel is provided. The LED panel includes a thin-film transistor (TFT) backplane which includes an insulator film disposed on a top surface of a substrate, a plurality of organic films disposed on a top surface of the insulator film, and pixel electrodes disposed on a top surface of each of the plurality of organic films. A display module and a display apparatus including the same are provided. The display module includes a module substrate; pixels provided on the module substrate; and a micro-pixel controller configured to supply drive currents to the pixels. The micro-pixel controller includes: a first input pad for receiving a power voltage; a second input pad for receiving a data voltage; pixel circuits configured to output the drive currents to the pixels; a control circuit configured to distribute the power voltage and the data voltage to the pixel circuits; a first ESD protection circuit connected to the first input pad and the control circuit through a first voltage line and configured to transmit the power voltage to the control circuit; and a second ESD protection circuit connected to the second input pad and the control circuit through a second voltage line and configured to transmit the data voltage to the control circuit.

A display apparatus, according to one or more embodiments, includes a timing controller configured to generate a timing control signal, and a plurality of display modules, each display module of the plurality of display modules including a plurality of pixels and a plurality of micro pixel controllers electrically connected to a plurality of inorganic light-emitting elements constituting two or more pixels, wherein each display module of the plurality of display modules is configured to switch the plurality of inorganic light-emitting elements based on the timing control signal, and wherein each of the plurality of micro pixel controllers switches the plurality of inorganic light-emitting elements causing a blanking period to be periodically generated in response to a frame rate being changed.

Display apparatus and control method thereof

A display panel includes a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, the plurality of pixels respectively including a plurality of sub pixels. The plurality of sub pixels respectively includes a light emitting element, and a PWM pixel circuit configured to control a light emitting duration of the light emitting element, based on a pulse width modulation (PWM) data voltage and a sweep voltage. A plurality of PWM pixel circuits included in the display panel are driven, for each of row lines of the plurality of pixels, in an order of a data setting period for setting the PWM data voltage and then a light emitting period in which the light emitting element emits light during a duration corresponding to the set PWM data voltage according to a change of the sweep voltage.
