A touch input device is disclosed that may comprise a display panel and/or a touch sensor. The touch sensor may include a driving electrode and/or a receiving electrode that may be disposed on the display panel and/or inside the display panel. The touch input device may comprise an electrode pattern that may be disposed on a bottom surface of the display panel. The touch input device may comprise a controller that may be configured to provide a first driving signal to the driving electrode of the touch sensor. The controller may be configured to receive a touch detection signal from the receiving electrode of the touch sensor. The controller may be configured to detect a touch position, perhaps for example based on the touch detection signal. The controller may be configured to provide a second driving signal different from the first driving signal to the electrode pattern.

Touch input device

A touch input device includes an organic light emitting display module; a pressure sensor including a pressure electrode outputting a first sensing signal for detecting a touch pressure and which is attached under the organic light emitting display module; a touch sensor including drive electrodes to which a driving signal is applied and receiving electrodes outputting a second sensing signal for detecting a touch position; and a substrate located under the organic light emitting display module. The substrate is spaced apart from the organic light emitting display module and includes a reference potential layer. A controller detects a magnitude of the touch pressure based on the first sensing signal. The organic light emitting display module is bent by the touch pressure. A distance between the pressure electrode and the reference potential layer is changed according to a bending of the organic light emitting display module.

In one embodiment, a touch input device capable of detecting a pressure of a touch on a touch surface is disclosed. The touch input device includes a substrate and a display module. A common voltage electrode is disposed within the display module. The touch input device further comprises an electrode which is disposed at a position where a distance between the electrode and the common voltage electrode changes according to the touch on the touch surface. The distance changes according to a magnitude of the pressure of the touch. Further, an electric signal depending on the distance is outputted from the electrode.

Smartphone

A pressure detection module may be provided that includes: a first electrode and a second electrode which are located on an insulation layer; and an elastic foam. The elastic foam is located between the first and the second electrodes and a reference potential layer located apart from the pressure detection module. A capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode is changed according to a relative distance change between the reference potential layer and the first and the second electrodes through a transformation of the elastic foam. A magnitude of a pressure which causes the elastic foam to be transformed is detected according to the capacitance change.

Pressure detection module and touch input device including the same

A smartphone may include a first cover layer and an LCD panel. A backlight unit may be located under the LCD panel. A touch sensor may sense touch in a capacitive manner. The backlight unit may include a pressure sensor and a spacer layer. The pressure sensor includes a plurality of electrodes formed in a single layer attached on the second cover layer and spaced apart from the reflective sheet. A driving signal is applied to the touch sensor and a touch position is detected by a sensing signal. A magnitude of a touch pressure is detected based on a change amount of capacitance which is output from the pressure sensor and which is changed according to a distance between the pressure sensor and an electrode located within the LCD panel. The pressure sensor is attached on the second cover layer as an integral sheet including insulation layers.

A touch input device includes a display module, a substrate for blocking electrical noise or for separating the display module from a circuit board or battery for operation of the touch input device, and a first electrode disposed on the display module and a second electrode disposed on the substrate. A spacer layer is disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. A pressure magnitude of the touch is detected based on a capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode. The capacitance is changed depending on the distance between the first electrode and the second electrode. The display module is bent by the touch, and the distance between the first electrode and the second electrode is changed due to the bending of the display module. The first electrode is disposed on a bendable surface of the display module.

A smartphone may include a first cover layer and an LCD panel located under the first cover layer. The smartphone may include a backlight unit which may be located under the LCD panel. The smartphone may include a touch sensor which may sense touch in a capacitive manner. The backlight unit may include a pressure sensor and a spacer layer. The pressure sensor may include one or more electrodes formed in a single layer attached on the second cover layer and spaced apart from the reflective sheet. A driving signal may be applied to the touch sensor. A touch position may be detected by a sensing signal which may be output from the touch sensor. A magnitude of a touch pressure may be detected based on a change amount of capacitance which may be output from the pressure sensor.

A touch input device capable of detecting a pressure of a touch on a touch surface may be provided that includes a substrate and a display module. The touch input device further includes an electrode which is disposed at a position where a distance between the electrode and a reference potential layer is changed by the touch on the touch surface. The distance may be changed depending on a magnitude of a pressure of the touch. The electrode outputs an electrical signal according to the change of the distance. A spacer layer is disposed between the reference potential layer and the electrode.

An object action control system which performs a method for controlling the object action on the basis of a single touch or multiple touches may be provided that includes: a touch panel; a touch sensing module which recognizes a single touch or multiple touches on the touch panel by at least one input means; a change sensing module which senses at least any one of a pressure magnitude, area and time period of the touch on the touch panel by the input means which has applied the single touch and multiple touches; and an action module which performs different actions of one object in accordance with the single touch or multiple touches in conformity with a predetermined action standard.

System and method for controlling object motion based on touch

In one embodiment, a touch input device capable of detecting a pressure of a touch on a touch surface is disclosed. The touch input device includes a substrate and a display module. A reference potential layer is disposed within the display module. The touch input device further comprises an electrode which is disposed at a position where a distance between the electrode and the reference potential layer changes according to the touch on the touch surface. The distance changes according to a magnitude of the pressure of the touch. Further, an electric signal depending on the distance is outputted from the electrode.

In one embodiment, a method for operating a camera included in a touch input device including a touch screen is disclosed. A processor determines a capacitance pattern for a varying capacitance throughout the touch screen when the touch screen is underwater and no touch input occurs. The processor resets a varying reference capacitance for determining whether a touch input by an object occurs or not, the varying reference capacitance being reset based on the determined capacitance pattern when the touch screen is underwater and no touch input occurs. The touch screen receives a touch pressure by the object underwater. Operation of the camera is controlled according to the touch pressure to the touch screen.

Method for operating camera underwater

In one embodiment, the invention can be a touch input device capable of unlocking a passcode accordance with a touch pressure. The device can include a touch screen which displays a passcode input window; a controller which generates a first control signal as to whether or not a touch on the passcode input window matches a predetermined passcode; and a memory which stores the predetermined passcode. The passcode input window can include a plurality of nodes which are disposed in different positions. The number of touched nodes among the plurality of nodes, the order of the touched nodes among the plurality of nodes, and a pressure level of the touch on each of the touched nodes among the plurality of nodes can be set as the predetermined passcode. Further, the pressure level of the touch can be classified into at least two levels.

Feedback method according to touch level and touch input device performing the same

Disclosed is a touch detector which detects a touch on a touch sensor panel including a plurality of first electrodes, a plurality of second electrodes and a plurality of third electrodes. The touch detector includes: a driving signal supplier which applies a driving signal to the plurality of first electrodes; and a sensing unit which receives a first signal including information on a capacitance changing depending on the touch on a touch surface of the touch sensor panel from the plurality of second electrodes. The sensing unit detects a touch pressure and a touch position on the touch surface of the touch sensor panel.
