A MEMS scanner is disclosed. The MEMS scanner includes a mirror rotatable about at least one rotational axis, a gimbal disposed outside the mirror, a spring connected to the gimbal on the same line as the rotational axis of the mirror, a substrate spaced apart from an outer surface of the gimbal and connected to the gimbal via the spring, a coil disposed on the gimbal so as to adjust a rotational angle of the mirror by generating electromagnetic force by interaction with a magnetic field, which is first formed therearound, when current flows therethrough, and a plurality of combs formed between the substrate and at least one of the spring and the gimbal adjacent to the substrate so as to detect the rotational angle of the mirror.

Provided is a head up display for a vehicle. The head up display for the vehicle may include an imaging mechanism for emitting a linearly-polarized light in a first direction and a linearly-polarized light in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, a first reflection mirror for reflecting a light to a windshield of the vehicle, a polarization reflection mirror spaced apart from the first reflection mirror wherein the polarization reflection mirror transmits the linearly-polarized light in the first direction and reflects the linearly-polarized light in the second direction, and a second reflection mirror spaced apart from the polarization reflection mirror wherein the second reflection mirror reflects the light transmitted through the polarization reflection mirror to the polarization reflection mirror. The imaging mechanism may include a separating partition for preventing mutual interference between the linearly-polarized light in the first direction and the linearly-polarized light in the second direction.

A head-up display for a vehicle, according to one embodiment of the present invention, may comprise: an image source which emits a linearly-polarized light having a first direction; a prism which refracts one portion of the linearly-polarized light emitted from the image source; an electric polarization conversion element which, when turned off, transmits another portion of the linearly-polarized light emitted from the image source, and when turned on, half-wavelength-converts the another portion of the linearly-polarized light emitted from the image source into a linearly-polarized light having a second direction orthogonal to the first direction; a first reflection mirror which reflects light to a windshield of a vehicle; a polarization reflection mirror which is disposed so as to be spaced apart from the first reflection mirror, reflects the linearly-polarized light having the first direction, and transmits the linearly-polarized light having the second direction; and a second reflection mirror which is disposed so as to be spaced apart from the polarization reflection mirror, and reflects the light transmitted through the polarization reflection mirror to the polarization reflection mirror.

A light emitting module is disclosed. The light emitting module includes a condensing lens for condensing incident light into a space, a light source for providing first light to pass through the condensing lens, a first optical path conversion member for reflecting the first light to provide first reflected light to pass through the condensing lens, a second optical path conversion member for providing the first reflected light as second reflected light to pass through the condensing lens, and a case for receiving at least the condensing lens, the light source, the first optical path conversion member, and the second optical path conversion member.

The light-emitting module includes a condensing lens for condensing incident light into a space, a light source for providing first light to pass through the condensing lens, a first optical path conversion member for reflecting the first light to provide first reflected light to pass through the condensing lens, a second optical path conversion member for reflecting the first reflected light to provide second reflected light to pass through the condensing lens and a wavelength conversion unit for receiving the second reflected light, converting a wavelength of the received second reflected light, and radiating light the wavelength of which has been converted.

A lighting device for a vehicle includes a light source device; a main lens; a reflective fluorescent body configured to reflect and convert wavelengths of incident beams; and a prism arranged between the main lens and the reflective fluorescent body. The prism is configured to: reflect beams emitted from the light source device to be incident on the reflective fluorescent body; and transmit, through the prism and to the main lens, beams reflected from the reflective fluorescent body. The prism includes: a first surface facing the reflective fluorescent body; a second surface through which beams are incident; and a third surface forming an acute angle with the first surface. The prism is configured such that the beams incident through the second surface of the prism form angles of incidence, with respect to the third surface of the prism, that are greater than a critical angle of the prism.

The light emitting module includes a condensing lens for condensing incident light into a space, a light source for providing first light to pass through the condensing lens, a first optical path conversion member for reflecting the first light to provide first reflected light to pass through the condensing lens and a second optical path conversion member for providing the first reflected light as second reflected light to pass through the condensing lens.

An optical device and an image projection apparatus including the same are disclosed. The optical device includes a laser diode for outputting a laser light having a predetermined wavelength, a polarization separator for transmitting a first polarized light of the laser light and reflecting a second polarized light of the laser light, a wheel including a wavelength conversion unit for converting a wavelength of the second polarized light of the laser light reflected by the polarization separator such that the second polarized light of the laser light corresponds to one selected from among a blue light, a green light, and a red light and a transmission unit for transmitting the other lights, a polarization converter for converting the light transmitted through the wheel into the first polarized light and outputting the converted first polarized light to the wheel, and an optical output unit for outputting the first polarized light from the polarization converter and the light converted in wavelength and reflected by the wheel. Consequently, it is possible to provide a compact optical device that is capable of achieving highly efficient light output.

An image projection apparatus includes a light source for emitting a light bundle, a display element forming an image by using the light bundle, and a projection system having: a lens unit refracting the light bundle so as to magnify and project the image and including first and second aspheric lenses, which are spaced from each other and change the refraction of the light bundle, and at least one spherical lens disposed between the first and second aspheric lenses; and a mirror for reflecting, toward the outside, the light bundle delivered by the lens unit.

A light source unit includes a light source which emits a light bundle in one direction; a polarizing unit which is formed to selectively transmit a certain polarized light of a certain wavelength in the light bundle; and a reflection unit which is formed so as to delay the phase of the polarized light so that the polarized light is reflected by the polarizing unit, convert one part of the wavelength of the polarized light, and reflect the polarized light toward the polarizing unit.

A laser diode includes a laser diode emitting light due to an electrical signal; a wavelength conversion plate for shifting the wavelength of the light emitted from the laser diode; a reflecting part for reflecting the light emitted from the laser diode towards the wavelength conversion plate; and a projecting part for emitting, in the forward direction, the light shifted by the wavelength conversion plate. The laser diode can provide a high-power but small-sized laser light source device, and a narrow emission angle can be achieved using the laser diode.
