A display device includes a display panel and an input sensing panel. The input sensing panel includes pluralities of first and second sensing electrodes and electrostatic induction patterns, each of which is connected to a sensing electrode from one of the pluralities of sensing electrodes and overlaps another sensing electrode from the other one of the pluralities of sensing electrodes. The input sensing panel includes a first area where deviations of mutual capacitances between the first and second sensing electrodes are small and a second area where the deviations are large. The electrostatic induction patterns include first electrostatic induction patterns disposed in the first area and second electrostatic induction patterns disposed in the second area, the second electrostatic induction patterns having a different area from the first electrostatic induction patterns, or the number of second electrostatic induction patterns being different from the number of first electrostatic induction patterns.

Display device

Provided is a display device comprising a display panel, an input sensor including a first sensing area having a first sub-area and a second sub-area, and a first sensor controller configured to drive the first sensing area. Here, the input sensor includes first sensing electrodes disposed in the first sub-area to receive a first transmission signal from the first sensor controller, second sensing electrodes disposed in the first sub-area and intersected with the first sensing electrodes, third sensing electrodes disposed in the second sub-area to receive a second transmission signal having a phase inverted from that of the first transmission signal from the first sensor controller, and fourth sensing electrodes disposed in the second sub-area and intersected with the third sensing electrodes.

In a method for testing an electronic device, the method includes: providing an electronic device including a display layer and a sensor layer on the display layer and configured to operate at a touch drive frequency, the sensor layer including a plurality of first electrodes and a plurality of second electrodes insulatively intersecting the plurality of first electrodes; providing a test signal having a test frequency higher than the touch drive frequency to the plurality of first electrodes; measuring mutual capacitance with the plurality of first electrodes through the plurality of second electrodes; and determining whether or not the sensor layer is defective, based on the mutual capacitance.

Electronic device having a testing method for determining defects in a sensor layer

An input sensing part includes a first sensing electrode, a second sensing electrode that is insulated from the first sensing electrode and crosses the first sensing electrode, a plurality of dummy electrodes that are disposed in dummy areas located between the first and second sensing electrodes, when viewed in a plan view, and a dummy connection pattern that is insulated from the first and second sensing electrodes. The dummy connection pattern crosses the first sensing electrode or the second sensing electrode, when viewed in a plan view, and connects the dummy electrodes.

Input sensing part and display device including the same

A display device includes a display panel, and an input sensing part disposed on the display panel and in which an active region and a non-active region around the active region are defined. The input sensing part includes a plurality of sensing electrodes dispose in the active region, a plurality of sensing lines electrically connected to the sensing electrodes and disposed in the non-active region, and a guard line, a ground line, and an electromagnetic attenuating line spaced apart from the sensing lines and disposed in the non-active region. The guard line, the ground line, and the electromagnetic attenuating line are disposed at an outside of the sensing lines.

An electronic device includes a display layer, a sensor layer, and a sensor driver that receives a sensitivity value from a node defined in an area where one electrode intersects one cross electrode, and calculates an input coordinate based on the sensitivity value. When the sensitivity value received from the node is equal to or greater than a first threshold value, the sensor driver calculates the input coordinate based on the sensitivity value. When each of a plurality of sensitivity values received from the node and a plurality of peripheral nodes adjacent to the node is less than the first threshold value and greater than or equal to a second threshold value, the sensor driver calculates the input coordinate based on the plurality of sensitivity values.

Electronic device and driving method of the same for impproving sensitivity values using adjacent nodes

A display device, includes: a display panel including an active region and a peripheral region which are adjacent to each other; and an input-sensing panel on the display panel, the input-sensing panel comprising a first region, a second region, and a third region, which are overlapped with the active region and are sequentially arranged, and a fourth region, which is overlapped with the peripheral region, wherein the input-sensing panel comprises: a sensing electrode in the first and second regions and includes a plurality of conductive lines; and a trace line in the third and fourth regions and connected to the sensing electrode, wherein a density per unit area of the conductive lines is higher in the second region than in the first region.

Input sensing panel and display device including the same

A display device includes a display panel that displays an image, an input sensor that senses an external input, and a sensing controller that controls the driving of the input sensor. The input sensor includes a plurality of scanning electrodes and a plurality of sensing electrodes. The sensing controller simultaneously transmits input scanning signals to at least two scanning electrodes of the plurality of scanning electrodes during a group scanning period. The group scanning period includes a plurality of scanning periods. The sensing controller transmits a compensating signal having a phase different from a phase of at least one of the input scanning signals to at least one sensing electrode of the plurality of sensing electrodes during at least one scanning period of the plurality of scanning periods.

Display device having a sensing controller for controlling the driving of an input sensing layer

An inspection device inspects a display for defects. The display includes a power supply, a circuit board having a stabilizer to stabilize the power supply, a display panel which is electrically connected to the circuit board and has a first electrode, and an input sensor which is disposed on the display panel and has a second electrode. The inspection logic measures a value of capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode of the display, and includes a frequency setter that sets a driving frequency of the second electrode to a frequency in a predetermined range.

Display module inspection device and display module inspection method

A method of testing an electronic device includes providing an electronic device. The electronic device includes a display layer that includes a common electrode. The electronic device also includes a sensor layer disposed on the display layer and that includes a first sensing electrode and a second sensing electrode. The first sensing electrode and the second sensing electrode cross each other and are electrically disconnected. The method further includes providing a test signal that includes a test frequency to the first sensing electrode, measuring a capacitance of a capacitor disposed between the first and second sensing electrodes based on the test signal, and testing the common electrode based on the capacitance.
