An electric kettle may include: a body receiving water or food therein; a lid configured to shield an open upper side of the body; a base provided at a lower side of the body and configured to support the body; a heating module provided in a side of the body and configured to apply heat to the body such that the content contained in the body is heated; and a handle provided at a side of the body and configured to be held by hand, wherein a control means is provided in the handle, the control means being configured to control power supplied to the heating module or to control a temperature of the content contained in the body. According to such a configuration of the electric kettle, there is an advantage in that the malfunction or failure of the electric kettle is prevented.

An electric kettle having a handle coupled to one end of a body is proposed. The electric kettle includes: a body receiving water or food therein; a lid configured to shield an open upper side of the body; a base provided at a lower side of the body and configured to support the body; a spout provided on an upper end of the body and guiding a discharge of the water or food contained inside the body; and a handle fastened to the upper end of the body and configured to be held by hand. According to the configuration of the electric kettle, there are advantages of providing a compact and aesthetic appearance and improving assemblability.

An electric kettle may include a body configured to form a space in which liquid, such as water may be contained, a handle that protrudes from an outer surface of the body, a heating module provided inside of the body to heat liquid inside of the body, an operation portion provided in the handle to operate so as to control an operation of the heating module, and a main printed circuit board (PCB) provided inside of the handle to control the operation of the heating module according to an operation of the operation portion. The body may have a double wall structure including two walls spaced apart from each other, and an electric wire that connects the main PCB and the heating module may be guided from the handle to the heating module through a space between the two walls.

An appliance includes a hinge module between a main body and a pull-down door. The hinge module includes a housing, a rotational axis member disposed in the housing serving as a center of rotation between the pull-down door and the main body, an inner link housing movably disposed in the housing that moves with the opening of the pull-down door in a direction of the rotational axis member, and a damper installed in the inner link housing, the damper including a piston and a cylinder and providing damping force according to a relative movement of the piston and the cylinder. Any one of the piston and the cylinder of the damper moves with the inner link housing and the other of the piston and the cylinder of the damper moves by a predetermined distance as the inner link housing moves and then is interfered by the housing so as not to move further, and the piston and the cylinder of the damper starts damping, wherein the predetermined distance corresponds to an opening angle of the pull-down door in which the damping is started.

A latch module includes a latch including a hook for engaging with a pin, a spring that applies a force to move the latch in a first direction; and a motor to pivot the latch. The hook is opened at a front end toward the first direction that opens to an engaging surface provided in the hook for engaging with the pin and the engaging surface includes a disengaging inclined surface that is disposed at a front end portion of the hook and a secure lock surface that is disposed behind the disengaging inclined surface. The disengaging inclined surface has an inclined surface inclined in the first direction and the secure lock surface has an inclined surface inclined in a second direction opposite the first direction. In a first basic position of the latch, the disengaging inclined surface of the hook is positioned to engage with the pin.
