A display device includes an array substrate including a pixel array disposed on a base substrate, a side terminal disposed on the base substrate, and a transfer wiring electrically connected to the side terminal and the pixel array, the array substrate having an inclined side surface, and a conductive connection pad including a first portion disposed on the inclined side surface of the array substrate to contact the side terminal and a second portion disposed on a lower surface of the array substrate. The first portion and the second portion are connected to each other.

The invention relates to display device and method of manufacturing the same. The display device includes: a substrate; a driving pad disposed on the substrate; an insulating layer exposing the driving pad and disposed on the substrate; a circuit board including a circuit pad overlapping the driving pad; and a connector disposed between the circuit board and the insulating layer and including a plurality of conductive particles electrically connecting the driving pad and the circuit pad, the driving pad including: a first pad disposed on the substrate; and a second pad disposed on the first pad and having an opening exposing the first pad.

The side terminal includes a resistance-reducing layer and an upper conductive layer, the resistance-reducing layer includes a first conductive material, the upper conductive layer is disposed on the resistance-reducing layer and includes a second conductive material having an oxidation resistance greater than the first conductive material. A portion of the upper conductive layer is disposed between the connection pad and the resistance-reducing layer such that the resistance-reducing layer is spaced apart from the connection pad.

The side surface electrode is disposed on one side surface of the display panel and contacts one side surface of the connection pad. The flexible film includes a driving pad that contacts the side surface electrode. The connection pad includes a first electrode layer including a plurality of first electrodes and a second electrode layer disposed on the first electrode layer and including a plurality of second electrodes. The first electrode layer and the second electrode layer have different rigidities.

The second portion extends from the first portion, and is bent from a plane of the first portion. A property of a material of the support layer in the first portion is different than the property of the material of the support layer in the second portion.
