A scroll compressor is provided that may include a first back pressure unit that allows a refrigerant to flow from a first compression chamber to a back pressure chamber while blocking a reverse flow of the refrigerant, and a second back pressure unit that allows the refrigerant to flow from the back pressure chamber to a second compression chamber while blocking a reverse flow of the refrigerant. The first back pressure unit and the second back pressure unit may be spaced apart from each other in a direction that the compression chambers are formed. This may reduce pressure pulsation in the back pressure chamber. Also, leakage between compression chambers may be suppressed and simultaneously friction loss may be reduced by appropriately adjusting the pressure in the back pressure chamber. This is especially advantageous for enhancing compression efficiency under low load operating conditions (or in a low pressure ratio operation).

Scroll compressor

A scroll compressor is provided that may have a first sealing portion defined between an inner surface of an orbiting wrap and an outer surface of a non-orbiting wrap facing the inner surface of the orbiting wrap in a radial direction, and a second sealing portion defined between an inner surface of the non-orbiting wrap and an outer surface of the orbiting wrap facing the inner surface of the non-orbiting wrap in the radial direction. Further, sealing surfaces where the wraps facing each other are in surface-contact with each other may be formed on at least one of the first sealing portion or the second sealing portion. This may enlarge a sealing area between side surfaces of the wraps facing each other to suppress or prevent leakage of refrigerant suctioned in a compression chamber, thereby improving indicated efficiency and volumetric efficiency.

A scroll compressor is provided that may include first and second variable-capacity units that provide communication between a first intermediate pressure chamber and a low-pressure portion and between a second intermediate pressure chamber and the low-pressure portion. The first variable-capacity unit may include a first variable-capacity passage that communicates with the intermediate pressure chamber, at least one first variable-capacity valve that opens/closes the first variable-capacity passage, and a first variable-capacity opening and closing valve that controls opening/closing of the at least one first variable-capacity valve, and the second variable-capacity unit may include a second variable-capacity passage that communicates with a second intermediate pressure chamber, at least one second variable-capacity valve that opens/closes the second variable-capacity passage, and a second variable-capacity opening and closing valve that controls opening/closing of the at least one second variable-capacity valve.

In a scroll compressor, a discharge chamber is provided in an inner space of a back pressure chamber inner wall, a discharge port is provided inside the discharge chamber, a bypass hole is provided around the discharge port, and a communicating recess portion allowing the discharge chamber to communicate with the bypass hole is provided on an inner circumferential surface of the back pressure chamber inner wall forming the discharge chamber. Through this, the bypass hole may be easily configured in addition to the discharge port, thereby increasing an operation range of the compressor and suppressing overcompression.

A scroll compressor includes a discharge guide disposed in a high-pressure part to guide refrigerant discharged from a compression part to a refrigerant discharge pipe, and the discharge guide may extend by a preset height from an inner circumferential surface of a casing constituting the high-pressure part toward one side surface of a high and low pressure separation plate. This can guide discharge refrigerant discharged to the high-pressure part to quickly flow to the refrigerant discharge pipe before being spread in an entire space of the high-pressure part, thereby preventing the high and low pressure separation plate from being overheated by discharge refrigerant of high temperature. This can result in preventing suction refrigerant of a low-pressure part from being heated by heat of discharge refrigerant transferred through the high and low pressure separation plate, thereby reducing a specific volume of the suction refrigerant and improving compressor efficiency.

A scroll compressor is disclosed. The scroll compressor may include a suction guide between a refrigerant suction pipe and a high/low pressure separation plate, and the suction guide may be fastened to a non-orbiting scroll or inserted into a suction guide protrusion that extends from the non-orbiting scroll. Accordingly, suction refrigerant may be partially suctioned into a compression chamber by the suction guide in advance before moving to the high/low pressure separation plate, so as to be prevented from coming into contact with the high/low pressure separation plate, while the suction refrigerant may also partially flow toward a drive motor without being suctioned directly into the compression chamber, so as to cool the drive motor, whereby efficiency of the compressor may be improved and an operation range of the compressor may be expanded.

A scroll compressor may include a casing configured to receive a rotation shaft and a driving unit; a compression unit provided with a frame configured to rotatably support the rotation shaft, a first scroll fixed to the casing, and a second scroll configured to be connected to the rotation shaft and engaged with the first scroll. An oldham ring is provided with a plurality of key portions to guide the second scroll to perform an orbiting movement, wherein at least one of the frame, the first scroll, and the second scroll includes a respective key groove formed to receive a respective key portion; and a respective wear-resistant member mounted to cover an inner surface of the respective key groove in contact with the respective key portion.

A scroll compressor includes a casing accommodating a rotary shaft and a driving unit, a first scroll making an orbiting movement by the rotary shaft, a second scroll engaged with the first scroll to form a compression chamber and having a bypass hole bypassing a refrigerant sucked into the compression chamber to an internal space of the casing, and a back-pressure chamber assembly pressing the second scroll toward the first scroll, wherein the back-pressure chamber assembly includes: a back-pressure space, a first valve unit allowing the bypass hole and the internal space of the casing to selectively communicate with each other, and a second valve unit opened and closed to selectively supply the refrigerant of the back-pressure space to the first valve unit to operate the first valve unit, and positioned to be fixed to the casing.

A mutual rotating scroll compressor includes: a first frame fixed to a casing; a second frame provided with an interval between the first frame and the second frame, a compression space being provided between the first frame and the second frame; a first scroll rotatably supported by the first frame and coupled to a driving motor to rotate in the compression space; a second scroll engaged with the first scroll to rotate about the second frame, the second scroll and the first scroll forming a compression chamber in the compression space; and a bearing housing including a housing part, including a boss accommodation part to which the second scroll is rotatably coupled, and a hinge lug which extends from the housing part and is movably coupled to the second frame.

Mutual rotating scroll compressor

A scroll compressor is provided that may include a communication hole that penetrates from a side surface of a non-orbiting scroll adjacent to a discharge side to a thrust bearing surface between the non-orbiting scroll and an orbiting scroll, and a decompression member having a radial sectional area smaller than a radial sectional area of the communication hole and inserted into the communication hole. A refrigerant discharged to a discharge space may be introduced to a suction space through the passage between the communication hole and the decompression member, thereby preventing a high vacuum state of a compression chamber, and a refrigerant passing through the communication hole may be decompressed during a normal operation to restrain leakage of the refrigerant to the thrust bearing surface between the non-orbiting scroll and the orbiting scroll, thus increasing compression efficiency.

A scroll compressor is provided, in which a balancing space may be formed on a sub frame to accommodate at least one balance weight, and an oil discharge hole may be formed on a main frame, thereby suppressing, all from being introduced into or remaining in the balancing space to minimize agitation loss due to oil agitation in the balancing space, and forming a thrust surface of the main frame adjacent to an axial center of the drive shaft to suppress axial leakage at a central portion of the orbiting scroll, reducing a size of the main frame to reduce a total weight of the compressor, facilitating a centering operation of the sub frame, and suppressing an outer diameter of the sub frame from being increased, thereby accomplishing miniaturization of the scroll compressor.

A scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll having a fixed wrap, and an orbiting scroll having an orbiting wrap engaged with the fixed wrap to define a first compression chamber between an inner surface of the fixed wrap and an outer surface of the orbiting wrap, and to define a second compression chamber between an inner surface of the orbiting wrap and an outer surface of the fixed wrap. A rotation shaft is provided with an eccentric portion at one end thereof to drive the orbiting scroll. A protruding portion protrudes inwardly from an inner end of the fixed wrap, and contacts the orbiting wrap. A distance between a center of the eccentric portion and a tangent line at a contact point between the protruding portion and the orbiting wrap at an end of the first compression chamber is smaller than a radius of the eccentric portion.

The scroll compressor may include a fixed scroll having a fixed wrap with a thickness that varies along a compression path and a disk having a discharge and at least one bypass hole formed therein, and an orbiting scroll having an orbiting wrap with a thickness that varies along the compression path and that orbits with respect to the fixed scroll to define a compression space between the respective wraps. The compressor may also include a rotation shaft coupled to the orbiting scroll, and a driver that rotates the rotation shaft.
