The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. According to the present invention, a method for connecting a first device in a short-range wireless communication system comprises the steps of: transmitting, to a second device, a discovery signal including a connection information request; receiving, from the second device, a discovery response signal including information on a third device connected with the second device; and establishing a connection with the third device on the basis of the discovery response signal.

A curved display device includes a backlight unit which generates light and a display panel which receives the generated light from the backlight unit. The backlight unit includes a light guide plate and is curved. The display panel is disposed on the curved backlight unit and is curved. The curved light guide plate defines a light incident surface thereof and an opposite surface. The light incident surface receives the light generated by the curved backlight unit. The opposite surface faces the light incident surface. A thickness of the curved light guide plate decreases from the light incident surface to the opposite surface.

A display device includes a display panel, a protective member, a light guide member, a light source, and a light leakage preventing member. The display device includes a display surface concavely curved in a first direction. The light leakage preventing member is coupled to the protective member to be movable according to expansion or contraction of the light guide member. The light leakage preventing member contracts and expands according to the expansion or contraction of the light guide member, and includes an elastic part to prevent the light source from being damaged by the expansion of the light guide member.
