A computer implemented method can receive a parameterized query written in a declarative language. The parameterized query comprises a parameter which can be assigned different values. The method can perform a first compilation session of the parameterized query in which the parameter has no assigned value. Performing the first compilation session can generate an intermediate representation of the parameterized query. The intermediate representation describes a relational algebra expression to implement the parameterized query. The method can perform a second compilation session of the parameterized query in which parameter has an assigned value. Performing the second compilation session reuses the intermediate representation of the parameterized query.

Intelligent optimization of parameterized queries

A computer-implemented method can receive a parameterized query with an input parameter set, wherein the parameterized query has a query plan stored in a plan cache, determine an estimated compilation-plus-execution time for compiling and executing the parameterized query with the input parameter set based on a compilation history associated with the parameterized query, determine an estimated execution time for executing the parameterized query with the input parameter set by using the query plan based on an execution history associated with the query plan, and determine a cache gain based at least in part on the estimated compilation-plus-execution time and the estimated execution time. Responsive to finding that the cache gain is positive, the method can execute the parameterized query with the input parameter set by using the query plan. Otherwise, the method can compile and execute the parameterized query with the input parameter set.

Automatic recompilation for parameterized queries

A VCM (voice coil motor) is disclosed, the VCM including: a rotor including a cylindrical bobbin for accommodating a lens and protruded at a bottom end with a boss, and a coil block arranged at a periphery of the bobbin; a stator including a magnet facing the coil block and a yoke fixing the magnet; and an elastic member including a first elastic member formed with a through hole coupled to the boss of the bobbin and a second elastic member coupled to an upper end facing the bottom end of the bobbin; wherein the boss is formed with a disengagement prevention unit inhibiting the first elastic member from being disengaged from the boss, and the first elastic member is formed with a coupling unit contacting a joint where the disengagement prevention unit and the coupling unit meet.

A display device includes a main body configured to have a display module to which an image is output, a bending module located at a center of a back surface of the main body, and a controller. The controller controls the bending module to change a curvature of the display module to any one of a flat mode in which the display module is flat, a first bending mode in which the display module has a first curvature, and a second bending mode in which the display module has a second curvature. The second curvature is a maximum curvature of the display module.

Display device and method for controlling the same

Disclosed is a voice coil motor, the motor including a mover having a bobbin equipped with a lens and a coil block secured to an outer circumference of the bobbin; a stator having a magnet that is disposed in such a way as to face the coil block; elastic members coupled to a lower end of the bobbin and connected to both ends of the coil block; a base supporting the elastic members and the stator; and a cover can covering the mover, the stator and the base, with an opening being formed in the cover can to expose the lens therethrough, wherein each of the elastic members includes a terminal portion that extends between the cover can and a side surface of the base, the terminal portion including a short-circuit prevention portion so as to inhibit a short-circuit between the terminal portion and the cover can.

A display device includes a main body configured to have a display module to which a user interface is output, a bending module located at a center of a back surface of the main body, and a controller. The controller controls the bending module to change a curvature of the display module to any one of a flat mode in which the display module is flat, a first bending mode in which the display module has a first curvature, and a second bending mode in which the display module has a second curvature, wherein the second curvature is a maximum curvature of the display module. Then, the controller changes at least one of a size and a position of a display region to which the user interface is output, according to whether a mode is the flat mode, the first bending mode, or the second bending mode.

A method for intelligent query plan cache size management can be implemented. During execution of a plurality of incoming queries in a database management system, the method can measure actual compilation times of generating query execution plans for the plurality of incoming queries. The database management system can have a query execution plan cache which has a size that can store at least some of the query execution plans. The method can monitor differences between the actual compilation times and ideal compilation times of generating query execution plans for the plurality of incoming queries. The ideal compilation times can be estimated by assuming no query execution plan is evicted from the query execution plan cache. The method can adjust the size of the query execution plan cache based on the monitored differences.

Intelligent query plan cache size management

A receiver includes an equalization circuit configured to output a data sample signal and an edge sample signal by sampling a data input signal according to clock signal, and to perform an equalization operation according to the data sample signal and the edge sample signal; and a clock gate circuit configured to select the clock signals from among a plurality of multi-phase clock signals according to a selection signal.
