Disclosed is a cooking apparatus with a cooktop. The cooking apparatus includes: a cooker body including a cooking compartment and a storage compartment below the cooking compartment; a drawer including a storage space, and sliding the drawer into and out of the storage compartment closes and opens the storage space; a steam supplier configured to generate steam and supply the generated steam to the cooking compartment; and a water tank configured to store water for generating the steam, and provided in a certain region of the storage compartment independently of the drawer to be pushed in or pulled out.

A cooking appliance including a cooking chamber configured to cook food therein and openable in a first direction, a shelf provided to be inserted into the cooking chamber in the first direction and having a cooking surface on which food is placed, a magnetron configured to generate high frequency waves to be supplied to the shelf, and a heat generating member configured to generate heat by the high frequency waves generated by the magnetron. Where the cooking surface includes a first area on one side and a second area on another side, the heat generating member includes a first heat generating portion configured to supply heat to the first area and a second heat generating portion disposed to correspond to the second area, and the first heat generating portion supplies more heat to the first area than the second heat generating portion supplies to the second area.

Disclosed herein is a terminal device and a cooking apparatus capable of guiding an arrangement of a food item in the cooking apparatus comprising a plurality of heat sources to form a plurality of cooking zones having different heating characteristics. The terminal device comprises an imaging device, a user interface provided to display an image captured through the imaging device and provided to receive an input from a user, and a controller configured, in response to determining that the captured image corresponds to an image of a cooking apparatus and in response to obtaining food item information from the user, to control the user interface to display an augmented reality (AR) image of the food item superimposed on a recommended cooking zone among a plurality of cooking zones of the cooking apparatus.
