An integrated circuit device includes a substrate having a fin-type active region that extends in a first direction, a gate structure that intersects the fin-type active region on the substrate and extends in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and parallel to an upper surface of the substrate, a guide pattern that extends on the gate structure in the second direction and has an inclined side surface that extends in the second direction, source/drain regions disposed on both sides of the gate structure, and a first contact that is electrically connected to one of the source/drain regions and in which an upper portion contacts the inclined side surface of the guide pattern. Integrated circuit device and method of manufacturing same

A new imaging phantom called a 'fusion phantom' enhances the efficiency of performance testing and quality control. The phantom relocates the test elements of a standard MRI phantom, and provides a configuration of inner containers that enables simultaneous performance testing on magnetic resonance imaging and magnetic resonance spectroscopy within a predetermined error range. The fusion phantom is useful for multi-purpose performance testing of magnetic resonance imaging equipment, including correlation analysis, performance testing, system management and the like in the diagnosis field. The fusion phantom enhances efficiency of time and reliability in testing performance of the magnetic resonance imaging equipment, adjusts incorrect position accuracy and improves quality of images.

A surface inspection apparatus and method of inspecting chip surfaces includes a laser generator that generates a periodic CW laser and is transformed into an inspection laser beam having a beam size smaller than a surface size of the chip. Thus, the inspection laser beam is irradiated onto a plurality of the semiconductor chips such that the semiconductor chips are partially and simultaneously heated. Thermal waves are detected in response to the inspection laser beam and thermal images are generated corresponding to the thermal waves. A surface image is generated by a lock-in thermography technique and hold exponent analysis of the thermal image, thereby generating surface image in which a surface defect is included. Time and accuracy of the surface inspection process is improved.

A semiconductor device has improved reliability by preventing a fuse cut through a repair process from being electrically reconnected by electrochemical migration. The semiconductor device includes a substrate, a fuse including a first fuse pattern and a second fuse pattern formed at the same level on the substrate, the first fuse pattern and the second fuse pattern being spaced a first width apart from each other such that a gap in the fuse is disposed at a first location between the first fuse pattern and the second fuse pattern, and a first insulation layer formed on the first fuse pattern and the second fuse pattern, the first insulation layer including an opening above the first location and having a second width smaller than the first width.

Disclosed is a method for preparing rod-like silica fine particles including carbon, the method including: a first step of preparing a mixed solvent by mixing a surfactant with alcohol, and then preparing a mixed solution by adding water, ethanol, ammonia water and a salt to the mixed solvent; a second step of forming rod-like silica fine particles by adding a silica precursor to the mixed solution; and a third step of carbonizing the rod-like silica fine particles, and through a sol-gel reaction of the silica precursor and a carbonization process thereof.

An insulation transformer and a key input circuit having the same are disclosed. The insulation transformer includes: a core having a certain gap; and primary and secondary coils wound on the core. According to the insulation transformer, the operation deficiency of the insulation transformer can be reduced and thus the signal transmission efficiency can be improved. Also, the key input circuit including: an insulation transformer includes a core having a certain gap, and primary and secondary coils wound on the core; a microcomputer connected with the primary coil; and a key input unit connected with the secondary coil and including multiple resistors and switches. According to the key input circuit having the insulation transformer, the reliability of the operation of the key input circuit can be improved and user inconvenience that may be caused by an operation error can be prevented.

A stator for an electric motor is provided. The stator includes segmented cores each having one yoke and at least one pole protruding from the yoke in a radial direction, bobbins formed to receive the at least one pole therein, having blocking walls that extend from one side of ends of the at least one pole in a circumferential direction thereby to block a space between the at least one pole, and coupled to the at least one pole, and stator coils wound on the bobbins. A temperature of the segmented cores and the stator coils are prevented from rising and a noise occurrence is reduced.

An apparatus and method for driving a 2-phase SRM are provided. The method may include initializing 2-phase SRM based on a detected position of a rotor by an initializing sensor at a time of an initial driving, and normally driving the 2-phase SRM based on a detected position of the rotor by a driving sensor. With this method, a sufficient amount of torque is generated when the 2-phase SRM is driven at a high speed. The apparatus may include an initializing sensor that detects each position of each phase of a 2-phase SRM, and generates an initializing sensor signal based on the detected result; a driving sensor that detects each position of each phase of the 2-phase SRM, and generates a driving sensor signal based on the detected result; and a microprocessor that initially drives the 2-phase SRM based on the initializing sensor signal at the time of an initial driving, and normally drives the 2-phase SRM based on the driving sensor signal at the time of a normal driving.

Disclosed is a switched reluctance motor which can reduce noise and prevent overheating in rotation of a rotor. The switched reluctance motor includes: a stator core having a plurality of inwardly protruded poles at predetermined intervals; coils wound around the protruded poles of the stator core; and a rotor core being rotatably housed inside the stator core with a predetermined gap, and having a plurality of outwardly protruded poles along the radial direction, and round units protruded from the front ends of each protruded pole of the rotor core starting to meet each protruded pole of the stator core, so that gaps between the protruded poles of the stator core and the protruded poles of the rotor core can be gradually reduced.

Disclosed is an apparatus and method for driving a 2-phase SRM capable of individually performing an initial driving by an initializing sensor and a normal driving by a driving sensor, and capable of controlling a rotation speed of the SRM by delaying a phase signal by a half period and then generating a pulse width modulation signal based on the period. The apparatus comprises: a driving sensor which detects a position of a rotor thus to generate a driving sensor signal based on a result of the detection; a microprocessor which generates a 1-phase signal and a 2-phase signal based on a rising time and a falling time of the driving sensor signal at the time of a normal driving; an oscillator which generates first and second pulse width modulation signals delayed by a preset time; and a multiplying unit which multiplies the 1-phase and 2-phase signals with the first and second pulse width modulation signals, and generates 1-phase and 2-phase driving signals based on a result of the multiplication.

By this, the user's convenience is raised and the simplicity of the components is acquired.

Provided is a stack package using an anisotropic conductive film (ACF) for reducing thermal stresses exerted on chip scale packages (CSPs) during the initial manufacture of stack packages from a plurality of CSPs and for facilitating the repair and/or rework of stack packages incorporating CSPs while reducing the likelihood of damage to the CSPs. In the stack package including a plurality of CSPs stacked using an ACF, each CSP will typically include a circuit board, a semiconductor chip mounted on and electrically connected to the circuit board, and solder balls or other conductive structures arranged the semiconductor chip on the peripheral regions of the circuit board. Also provided are methods for the initial production of such stack packages and supplemental methods for the repair and rework of such stack packages.
