A disinfecting washing machine includes a disinfecting liquid dispenser, a drive unit and a control unit. The disinfecting liquid dispenser supplies a disinfecting liquid to disinfect laundry. The drive unit outputs first and second voltages to determine a concentration of the disinfecting liquid. The control unit detects the concentration of the disinfecting liquid and controlling the drive unit so that the disinfecting liquid has a concentration within a preset range.

Washing machine and method of controlling the same

A method of controlling a washing machine is provided. The washing machine control method executes a washing process with a wobbling device. In the method, an operation of causing a washboard to wobble and an operation of rotating a spin-drying tub in the washing process are alternately performed. An operation of causing a washboard to wobble in a wobbling position and an operation of rotating a spin-drying tub in a washing process several times to mix laundry is performed, such that upper laundry and lower laundry can be uniformly washed, thus improving a laundry cleaning performance. Further, entangled laundry can be prevented from being rinsed by causing the washboard to wobble in the wobbling position before rinsing water is supplied.

Method of controlling a washing machine

A washing machine includes a wobbling device having a rotary blade. The wobbling device causes a wobbling action of a washboard without rotating the washboard during a washing mode operation, and rotates the rotary blade in one direction to allow a sufficient amount of wash water to flow upward through an ascending water current guide and fall from an upper portion of a spin-drying tub onto clothes contained in the spin-drying tub, thus effectively washing the clothes. The washboard is installed at a lower portion in the spin-drying tub such that it wobbles upward and downward. The rotary blade is installed under the washboard, and is rotated in one direction by torque of a washing shaft. The rotary blade is fitted over a boss which couples a vertical rotary shaft of the wobbling device to the washing shaft, and is rotated by the torque of the washing shaft. The water current guide extends along a sidewall of the spin-drying tub from a lower end to an upper end of the spin-drying tub. Water currents generated from the rotary blade are guided to the upper portion of the spin-drying tub and fall from the upper portion to the lower portion of the spin-drying tub.

The wobbling device is switched to a leveling position to operate a spin-drying tub and a washboard and to a wobbling position to operate the washboard. The control method of the washing machine includes the steps of detecting the load of laundry, supplying water through a plurality of stages if the detected load of laundry is lighter than a predetermined reference load, and operating a pulsator in each of the stages through which water is supplied.

The washing machine includes a weight detection unit and a control unit. The weight detection unit detects a weight of the laundry using an amount of current flowing through a drive motor of the washing machine, which is used to drive the spin-drying tub and the washing board. The control unit controls an entire washing operation of the washing machine to correspond to the detected weight of the laundry.

A washing machine including a drying apparatus. The washing machine including the drying apparatus quickly dries wet laundry by efficiently condensing and adsorbing vapor from humid air of high temperature flowing from a water tub during a drying-mode operation. The drying apparatus includes a condensing duct and a blower duct respectively mounted on a rear surface and an upper surface of the water tub. The condensing duct has an ultrasonic atomizing unit, a condensing unit and a water adsorption unit therein, while the blower duct has a blower fan and a heater therein. An inner space of the condensing duct is partitioned into a first condensing path, a second condensing path and a third condensing path by a first air guide and a second air guide. The ultrasonic atomizing unit, the condensing unit and the water adsorption unit are installed in the first condensing path, the second condensing path and the third condensing path of the condensing duct, respectively, thus condensing and adsorbing vapor from the humid air which sequentially passes through the first to third condensing paths, thereby dehumidifying the air providing dry air which is fed to the water tub to dry the wet laundry.

A washing machine having a wobbling device. The wobbling device causes a wobbling action of a washboard without rotating the washboard during a washing mode operation, thus effectively washing the clothes. This wobbling device includes a vertical rotary shaft rotated by a washing shaft, and an inclined rotary shaft arranged above the vertical rotary shaft. A first rotary unit couples the inclined rotary shaft to the vertical rotary shaft, thus rotating the two shafts at the same time. An upper surface of the first rotary unit forms a first sloping surface inclined at an angle of inclination. A second rotary unit rotatably receives the inclined rotary shaft therein, and is provided at its lower surface with a second sloping surface corresponding to the first sloping surface of the first rotary unit. A plurality of pins control the relative positions of the first and second sloping surfaces, thus changing the position of the upper surface of the second rotary unit between a horizontal position and an inclined position. A washboard is arranged outside the second rotary unit, and is changed between a wobbling position and a leveled position in accordance with an operation of the pins.

Disclosed is a washing machine comprising a heating tank accommodating the washing and washing water; a heating part heating the washing water in the heating tank; and a circulation pump circulating the washing water in the heating tank. With this configuration, the present invention provides the circulation pump circulating washing water in the heating tank, thereby preventing the washing from oxidizing, improving a washing efficiency especially improving a washing efficiency according to washing material, and saving washing water. Further, water supply and drain can be easily performed.

A switch reluctance motor drive circuit includes first drive circuits (50) for driving a plurality of high switching elements (23, 24, 25), in response to an input signal (H.sub.in) for driving a gate of the high switching element, and second drive circuits (52) for driving a low switching elements (26, 27, 28), in response to an input signal (L.sub.in) for driving the gates of the low switching element. A single DC voltage source is commonly applied to the first drive circuits, and the first drive circuits each have a transistor (T1) connected between a gate (G) of the switching element (e.g., 23) and the DC voltage source to turn on the switching element (23) corresponding thereto, and a second transistor (T2) connected between the gate (G) and source (S) of the switching element (23) to turn off the switching element (23). A single DC voltage source is commonly applied to second drive circuits, and the second drive circuits each have a third transistor (T3) connected between the gate (G) of the switching element (26) and the DC voltage source to turn on the switching element (e.g., 26) corresponding thereto, and a fourth transistor (T4) connected between the gate (G) and source (S) of the switching element (26) to turn off the switching element (26).

Circuit for driving a switched reluctance motor

This invention provides a driving circuit for a switched reluctance motor(SRM) comprising a current sensing unit which senses current amount flowing into a driving circuit of the SRM and outputs a signal representing current amount flowing in the driving circuit, a comparing unit which compares a reference current amount with current amount flowing in the driving circuit in response to the output signal from the current sensing means, and outputs a stop signal in case the current amount flowing in the driving circuit of the SRM exceeds the reference current amount, and a signal selecting unit which receives output signal from the comparing means, a Pulse Width Modulated(PWM) signal and a rotor position signal, and outputs a gate controlling signal for turning off the switching element during an input of the stop signal from the comparing means. The protection of the driving circuit against the excess current according to the present invention improves reliability of the SRM, as well as eliminates the ripple component in the driving current(torque ripple) generated at the time of an initial start-up of each phase, which reduces loud noise of the motor.
