The present invention relates to a secondary battery and a method for manufacturing same, and the technical problem to be solved is to prevent damage due to fatigue loading that may occur during ultrasonic welding between an electrode tab and an auxiliary tab, by strongly laser welding between the auxiliary tab and a current collecting portion of a single plate. To this end, disclosed is a secondary battery and a method for manufacturing same, wherein the secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly having an electrode tab; an auxiliary tab which is a metal single plate mechanically and electrically coupled to the electrode tab; and a current collecting portion which is mechanically and electrically coupled to the auxiliary tab, wherein the auxiliary tab comprises: a tab connection portion welded to the electrode tab; a current collecting connection portion welded to the current collecting portion and disposed parallel to the tab connection portion; and a bending portion which connects between the tab connection portion and the current collecting connection portion and surrounds one side of the current collecting portion.

Secondary battery and method for manufacturing same

The present invention comprises: an electrode assembly in which a separator is interposed in between a first electrode and a second electrode; a case for accommodating the electrode assembly; a cap plate for sealing an opening at the upper end of the case, wherein a first terminal electrically connected to the first electrode of the electrode assembly is integrally formed with the cap plate; at least one stepped portion protruding upward from the cap plate; and a plate terminal arranged on the exterior of the cap plate, wherein the plate terminal is provided with, on a bottom part thereof, a recessed groove having a size and a depth corresponding to the size and the height of the stepped portion. A secondary battery, according to one embodiment of the present invention, is provided with the protruding stepped portion on the cap plate so that the terminal can be fixed so as to prevent shifting to the left or to the right.

A secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly including a first electrode plate and a second electrode plate, and electrode uncoated portions protruding at opposite sides of the electrode assembly, a case accommodating the electrode assembly; a current collector including an electrode connecting portion located at a region corresponding to an electrode uncoated portion of the electrode uncoated portions and including a coupling groove located in a surface of the electrode connecting portion, and a terminal connecting portion bent from the electrode connecting portion and extending over the electrode assembly; and a sub-tab including a first region coupled to the coupling groove, and a second region bent from the first region and connected to the electrode uncoated portion.

To this end, disclosed in the present invention is a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly; a case that accommodates the electrode assembly; a cap plate that seals the case, and that has a safety vent that is ruptured when internal pressure of the case rises; a terminal portion that is electrically connected to the electrode assembly, and that extends outwardly from the cap plate; and a pressure equalization structure that is formed on the cap plate so as to equalize the internal pressure and external pressure of the case.

Various embodiments of the present invention relate to a secondary battery, and the technical problem to be solved is to provide a secondary battery having a cathode terminal-integrated cap plate, which prevents the occurrence of weld defects during welding of a bus bar. To this end, the present disclosure provides a secondary battery comprising: a case; an electrode assembly received in the case; and a cap plate coupled to the case so as to protect the electrode assembly, wherein the cap plate includes a terminal part to which the electrode assembly is electrically connected and which is formed integrally with the cap plate, and the terminal part is thicker than the cap plate.
