A display apparatus including a base plate; a display main body to display a picture thereon; a lifting member standing on the base plate and combined to the display main body to adjust the height of the display main body; at least one spiral spring connected to the lifting member and to elastically support the weight of the display main body and to extend and retract accordingly as the display main body is lifted up and lowered down; a supporter connected to the spiral spring and to extend and retract the spiral spring via rotation; and a friction member inserted in the supporter to contact with the spiral spring and to generate a predetermined friction while the supporter rotates so that the height of the display main body is maintained even when the weight of the display main body is changed. Accordingly, a display apparatus having an adjustable a display main body even when the weight of the display main body is varies.

A monitor having: a monitor main body displaying a picture; a base member; a stand member standing on the base member; a moving member combined to the stand member to move up and down, that supports the monitor main body with a force counterbalancing a weight of the monitor main body; a locking part provided in the moving member; a locking hook provided on one of the stand member and the base member to be locked to and released from the locking part of the moving member; and an elastic member to release the locking hook from the locking part when the moving member supports monitor main body with the force counterbalancing the weight of the monitor main body. With this configuration, the present invention provides a monitor which has decreased packing volume, and is convenient to handle.

Monitor having a moving member counterbalancing weight of display

A monitor apparatus including a monitor and a base to support the monitor. The monitor apparatus further includes a first link provided between the monitor and the base; a second link provided between the monitor and the base adjacent to the first link; a base bracket combined to the base having first and second lower supporting parts to rotatably support lower parts of the first and second links, respectively; a connecting bracket rotatably combined to the monitor having first and second upper supporters to rotatably support upper parts of the first and second links, respectively. A first spring is interposed between the first link and the first lower supporting part to elastically bias the first link upward with respect to the base; and a second spring is interposed between the second link and the second lower supporting part to elastically bias the second link upward with respect to the base, where the distance between rotating axes of the first and second lower supporting parts, on which the first and second links are rotatably supported, respectively, is greater than the distance between tilting axes of the first and second upper supporters. Accordingly, the present invention provides a monitor apparatus in which a monitor can be adjusted in both height and a tilting angle as desired, where the height of the monitor is adjusted while keeping the tilting angle thereof in an angle suitable for a user to view the screen.

Stand for supporting a monitor main body

A monitor having a monitor body and a base member supporting the monitor body includes a link member positioned between the monitor body and the base member, a base hinge connecting one end of the link member with the base member in a tiltable manner to control the link member to be tilted relative to the base member within a predetermined degree of angle, a monitor hinge connecting the other end of the link member with the monitor body in the tiltable manner, an assistant link member transmitting a tilting movement of the link member relative to the base member to the monitor body, a first torsion coil spring elastically biasing the base member and the link member in opposite directions when the link member is forwardly tilted relative to the base member, and a second torsion coil spring elastically biasing the link member and the monitor in opposite directions when the monitor body is forwardly tilted relative to the link member. With this configuration, a monitor body can be easily adjusted in its height and viewing angle. Especially in a case of the monitor having a large-sized monitor body, the height and viewing angle thereof can be easily adjusted, and the viewing angle of the monitor body originally set up can be maintained when the height of the monitor body is adjusted. Also, a tilting angle of the monitor body can be adjusted relative to the base member.
