The present invention relates to a proxy apparatus and to a caching method of same. The caching method of the proxy apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: receiving a transmission request for content that can be divided into a plurality of blocks and instruction information for the playback position of the content from an external device; obtaining a header block that includes the header of the content when receiving the transmission request; identifying an intermediate block that corresponds to the playback position using the header; requesting and obtaining the intermediate block through a network when the identified intermediate block is not cached in the proxy apparatus; and transmitting to the external device at least a portion of the header and at least a portion of the intermediate block corresponding to the request. According to one embodiment of the present invention, even in a case where the size of a piece of content is great but only a specific portion is used, an efficient caching method and apparatus can be provided.

A method and a system for establishing a local routing in a mobile communication network, and for allowing different mobile stations connected with the same Access Service Network GateWay (ASN GW) to transmit and receive traffic without delivering such traffic to a Home Agent (HA) are provided. In the method, a session server determines whether first and second mobile stations are connected with the same ASN GW by using their location information. In case of a connection with the same ASN GW, the session server establishes a local routing in the ASN GW so that traffic between the first and second mobile stations is directly routed to each other at the ASN GW. Then the ASN GW receiving the traffic from one of both mobile stations transmits the traffic to the other according to the local routing.

A femto base station of a WiMAX system can manage a list of closed subscriber groups (CSGs). A CSG indicator is broadcast. The femto base station receives a registration request message from a mobile station having received the CSG indicator and adds the mobile station to a CSG registration list. The femto base station searches for the mobile station from the CSG registration list if an attach request message is received; and forwards the attach request message to an access service network (ASN) gateway if the mobile station is in the CSG registration list. The femto base station establishes a link message with the mobile station if an attach acceptance message corresponding to the attach request message from the ASN-gateway.
