A paper feeding apparatus of an image forming device having a feeder opening and closing unit to automatically rotate a paper feeder between a storing position and a paper feeding-standby position selectively employing a driving source driving a transporting unit with a pickup roller and a feed roller. The paper feeding apparatus automatically opens the paper feeder to the paper feeding-standby position when the image forming device is used, and automatically closes the paper feeder to the storing position to minimize space when the image forming device is not in use, thereby accommodating a user and minimizing a size of the image forming device.

Paper feeding apparatus of image forming device

A paper feeding apparatus of a printer is provided. The paper feeding apparatus includes a plurality of paper guide ribs formed by protruding from one side of a rectangular hole of a base frame toward the other side of a rectangular hole and a plurality of rib receiving grooves formed on a feed roller positioned in the rectangular hole and corresponding to the paper guide ribs. With the paper guide ribs and the rib receiving grooves, the paper feeding apparatus prevents paper jam occurring when the upper end of a paper is caught in the rectangular hole and also prevents deterioration of print quality by uniformly maintaining the gap between a nozzle of an ink cartridge and a printable sheet of paper.

Paper feeding apparatus in a printer

An automatic sheet feeder of a printing machine feeds paper by a rotational pressing force exerted between a paper friction fed section and a paper feeding roller. The automatic sheet feeder includes an idle pad roller rotated in contact with the paper feeding roller by the rotational pressing force exerted on the paper feeding roller in absence of paper in the paper loading section, and an elastic member for elastically controlling the rotational movement of the idle pad roller in contact with the idle pad roller while the idle pad roller is rotated by the rotational pressing force of the paper feeding roller. Accordingly, even when the paper feeding operation is carried out in the absence of paper in the paper loading section, the frictional load between the paper feeding roller and the paper friction pad is minimized through the rolling friction operation of the idle pad roller. As a result, paper double feeding or slippage caused due to the abrasion of the paper feeding roller is prevented, while the paper feeding operation is efficiently carried out for a long period of time by preventing the faulty feeding of paper. Further, since there is no overload by the high frictional force exerted on the paper feeding roller, the stepping out or abrasion of the components is prevented, and the life span of the printing machine is lengthened, while the resistance and reliability of the product are enhanced.

Automatic sheet feeder of a printing machine

A conveyance apparatus for an ink-jet printer for ejecting sheets of recording paper from the ink-jet printer regardless of whether the cover to the printer is closed or open. The ink-jet printing apparatus has a cartridge including a print head for forming an image on the recording paper. After passing the print head, the sheets of recording paper pass through the conveyance mechanism used to eject the sheets of recording paper. The ejecting occurs by pressing a spring loaded star-wheel against an eject roller. However, when the cover is opened, the star wheel becomes disengaged with the eject roller, causing the paper to jam instead of being ejected. To correct this problem, the star wheel engages a second eject roller when the cover is opened, allowing the paper to be ejected instead of jammed when the cover is opened.
