A display device includes a data line, a pixel electrically connected to the data line, a data driver for outputting a data voltage, and a transmitter electrically connected between an output terminal of the data driver and the data line. The transmitter may transmit an instance of the data voltage to the data line in a first period. The transmitter may amplify a second instance of the data voltage to generate a reference voltage and then transmit the reference voltage to the data line in a second period different from the first period. The pixel includes a light emitting element for emitting light in response to the first instance of the data voltage. A voltage level of the reference voltage may be higher than a voltage level of the data voltage.

Display device

A display device includes a display unit, a scan driver, and a data driver. The display unit includes pixels coupled to scan lines, sensing scan lines, data lines, and sensing lines. The scan driver supplies a scan signal to the scan lines, and supplies a sensing scan signal to the sensing scan lines. The data driver supplies an image data voltage to the data lines, and detects sensing values of the pixels on a pixel column basis through the sensing lines during a sensing period. The data driver includes an analog-to-digital converter which converts the detected sensing values into digital data during the sensing period and outputs sensing data. The analog-to-digital converter pauses the detection of the sensing values during a first period of the sensing period.

A display device and a method of driving a display device are disclosed. The display device includes pixels respectively connected to corresponding scan lines, corresponding control lines, corresponding data lines, and corresponding sensing lines, a scan driver which supplies a scan signal to a scan line of the corresponding scan lines, and supplies a control signal to a control line of the corresponding control lines, a data driver which supplies one of an image data signal and a sensing data signal to a data line of the corresponding data lines, and a sensing driver which senses characteristics of driving transistors of different pixels of the pixels in a previous sensing period and a current sensing period, and determines a final sensing value of a target pixel of the pixels in the current sensing period, based on a difference between a previous sensing value of the target pixel, which is determined based on the sensing in the previous sensing period, and a preliminary sensing value of the target pixel, which is calculated based on the sensing in the current sensing period.

A method of compensating for degradation of a display device includes sensing a first sensing current flowing through a sensing line connected to a pixel, which includes a programming period for writing a data voltage of a predetermined color to a storage capacitor of the pixel, sensing a sensing voltage of the sensing line, which includes a period for charging a line capacitor connected to the sensing line, estimating a voltage of an anode electrode of an organic light emitting diode using a second sensing current estimated from the first sensing current and the sensing voltage, and determining a degradation compensation value using the voltage of the anode electrode.

Method of compensating for degradation of display device

A display device includes pixels connected to data lines and scan lines, a first compensator which is connected to sensing lines and senses deviation information of the sensing lines while supplying different voltages to adjacent sensing lines, and a sensing unit which is connected to the first compensator and senses characteristic information of each of the pixels.

Embodiments may be directed to a gate driving circuit. The gate driving circuit includes a pre-charge unit, a pull-up unit, a boosting unit, and a discharge unit. The pre-charge unit pre-charges a first node in response to a first input signal. The pull-up unit outputs a first clock signal as a gate driving signal in response to a first node signal of the first node. The boosting unit boosts the first node signal of the first node in response to the first node signal and the first clock signal. The discharge unit discharges the first node to a gate-off voltage level in response to a second input signal and a second clock signal.
