A field emission panel includes: a first glass plate which comprises a phosphor layer, a second glass plate which is disposed in parallel to the first glass plate and comprises a plurality of electron emission elements; and a sealing member which is interposed between the first and the second glass plates to seal a space between the first and the second glass plates, wherein a part of the sealing member is hidden inside the first and the second glass plates and the other part of the sealing member is exposed to outsides of the first and the second glass plates.

A plasma display panel (PDP) and a method of manufacturing the same with improved luminous efficiency. The PDP includes: a first substrate; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a plurality of sustain electrode pairs between the first substrate and the second substrate and extending in a first direction; a plurality of address electrodes on the second substrate and extending in a second direction crossing the first direction; a first dielectric layer on the second substrate for covering the address electrodes; a discharge enhancement layer on the first dielectric layer; a plurality of barrier ribs on the discharge enhancement layer and defining discharge cells between the first and second substrates; and phosphor layers in the discharge cells, wherein the discharge enhancement layer has an opening in each of the discharge cells, and wherein the barrier ribs have a roughness less than that of the discharge enhancement layer.

An electron emission device includes first electrodes formed on a substrate and oriented in a first direction of the substrate, and isolated electrodes disposed on a same plane as the first electrodes while being spaced apart from the first electrodes. The isolated electrodes are separately formed and arranged in the first direction as well as in a second direction crossing the first direction. Line electrodes are placed on a different plane from the first electrodes and the isolated electrodes and are disposed on an insulating layer. Each of the line electrodes is electrically connected to a respective plurality of the isolated electrodes arranged along the second direction to form a second electrode together with the respective plurality of the isolated electrodes. Electron emission regions are formed on the isolated electrodes along the peripheral sides of the isolated electrodes proximate to the first electrodes.

Cathode substrate for electron emission device and electron emission device with the same

An electron emission device includes an electron emission region formed on a substrate for emitting electrons, a driving electrode for controlling the emission of the electrons, and a focusing electrode electrically insulated from the driving electrode. The driving electrode has an effective portion for inducing the emission of the electrons from the electron emission region, and a first voltage applying portion electrically connected to the effective portion. The focusing electrode has a focusing portion for focusing the electrons emitted from the electron emission region, and a second voltage applying portion electrically connected to the focusing portion. The effective portion and the focusing portion are disposed in different planes from each other, and the first applying portion and the second voltage applying portion are non-overlapping.
