A device for decreasing hydrogen concentration of a fuel cell system is installed in an exhaust system for discharging exhaust gas which includes hydrogen and air and is discharged from fuel cells to the atmosphere through an exhaust line. The device includes a catalyst diluter having catalysts for diluting the hydrogen in an exhaust gas by generating a catalytic reaction and connected to the exhaust line. An air diluter is disposed outside the catalyst diluter and guides external air to a gas exit side of the catalyst diluter.

Device for decreasing hydrogen concentration of fuel cell system

An exhaust port structure of a fuel cell vehicle includes a re-circulation fluid passage mounted on an upper portion of an exhaust pipe so as to be arranged parallel to the exhaust pipe, and a mixing pipe mounted on an end of the exhaust pipe and through which external air is suctioned. When a concentration of hydrogen in exhaust gas exceeds a reference value, hydrogen is re-circulated into the exhaust pipe via the re-circulation fluid passage and mixed with external air through the mixing pipe before being exhausted to outside. As a result, during starting and hydrogen purge to remove hydrogen from a fuel cell, the gas with high hydrogen concentration exhausted from the fuel cell and exhausted out of the vehicle can have reduced hydrogen concentration through the re-circulation fluid passage and the mixing pipe.

An apparatus for detecting a filter contamination of a fuel cell includes: a signal transmitter configured to transmit at least one signal; a signal receiver configured to receive the at least one signal from the signal transmitter; and a resistor unit including a silver compound disposed between the signal transmitter and the signal receiver and having a resistance which varies according to a chemical reaction.
