Methods and apparatuses are provided for processing a message in an electronic device. An electronic device includes a communication module; a memory configured to store messages received or transmitted by the communication module; a touch screen configured to display the received or transmitted messages; and a processor coupled to the memory, the touch screen, and the communication module, the processor configured to obtain, via the communication module, a first message associated with a first message application, obtain, via the communication module, a second message associated with a second message application, control the touch screen to display the obtained first message on a message display window, and control the touch screen to display the obtained second message adjacent to the obtained first message on the message display window.

Electronic device and method of processing message in electronic device

Methods and apparatus are provided for processing a message in an electronic device. A first message application is executed, which displays a first message and a second message in a combined message display window of an interlocutor. A second message application is executed, which provides the second message to the first message application while the first message application is executed. The first message is received and/or transmitted through the first message application, and the second message is received and/or transmitted through the second message application. The first message application and the second message application have different message reception and transmission techniques.

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for evaluating video quality. The systems include a video transmitter and a video receiver. The transmitter generates feature parameters from a reference video to be transmitted and transmits the generated feature parameters along with compressed video data via a network. The video receiver receives the feature parameters and the compressed video data via the network, evaluates the video quality of the received video using the feature parameters and transmits video quality evaluation results to the video transmitter via the network.

Systems and methods for objective video quality measurements

Methods and apparatuses for measuring transmission quality of multimedia data are provided. The method comprises the steps of a transmitter transmitting multimedia data through a channel, a receiver, having received the multimedia data from the transmitter, transmitting information on transmission error of the multimedia data to the transmitter through a return channel, the transmitter estimating the received data at the receiver using the error information returned to the transmitter, and the transmitter evaluating the transmission quality of the received data by comparing the estimated received data with reference data.
