According to a steering column for a vehicle according to the present embodiments, a wide convenient space can be secured for a driver in a teles-in state by increasing a teles-stroke while securing an installation space for the steering column, the installation of the steering column is spatially convenient despite the increased teles-stroke, and a teles operation can be quickly performed without increasing the output of a motor, and thus a convenient space can be quickly secured for a driver without degraded noise performance.

According to the present embodiments, a telescopic stroke is increased while an installation space of a steering column is easily secured, and a telescopic operation can be quickly performed without increasing a motor output. During the telescopic operation, noise may be reduced, and assemblability and mass productivity of the steering column may be improved.

A steering column for a vehicle includes: a column tube coupled to an outer side of a steering shaft and having a collapse elongated-hole extending in an axial direction; a column housing coupled to an outer circumferential surface of the column tube and having a telescopic elongated-hole extending axially to correspond to the collapse elongated-hole; a support cylinder coupled between the column tube and the column housing and having an insertion hole, into which an insertion shaft passing through the telescopic elongated-hole and the collapse elongated-hole from an outer side of the column housing is inserted, and a support hole penetrating through the support cylinder in the axial direction; and a bending clip having a first end fixed to an inner circumferential surface of the column tube and a second end folded to be inserted into the support hole while wrapping an end of the support cylinder.

The present invention relates to a steering column for a vehicle. An exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a steering column for a vehicle, including: an upper tube coupled to the exterior of a steering shaft and having a first long hole axially formed in one side surface thereof; a lower housing coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the upper tube and having a second long hole axially formed in one side surface thereof that corresponds to the first hole; a first support member supported on the inner circumferential surface of the upper tube; and a second support member, one side of which is coupled to a telescope drive unit and the opposite side of which is located on the outside of the lower housing and is coupled to the first support member through a fastening member passing through the first and second holes.

The present invention relates to a steering column for a vehicle. The steering column of a vehicle includes: an adjusting bolt that passes through tilting guide holes having slot shapes and are formed on opposite sides of a plate bracket, and telescoping guide holes having slot shapes and are formed on opposite sides of a distance bracket; and an impact absorbing member having a hollow pipe shape into which the adjusting bolt is inserted therein, and having tilting impact absorbing parts, which protrude on an outer peripheral surface thereof that are supported by opposite lengthwise ends of the tilting guide hole, and telescoping impact absorbing parts, which protrude on the outer peripheral surface thereof that are supported by opposite lengthwise ends of the telescoping guide hole. The steering column for a vehicle can allow an impact absorbing member no absorb an impact that is generated when an adjusting bolt collides with a tilting guide hole or a telescoping guide hole during a tilting or telescoping operation, thereby improving the operational feeling and reducing operational noise.

The present invention relates to a tilt or tilt and telescopic steering apparatus for use in a vehicle. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a conventional structure, which should be provided with both of tilting fixing gears and telescopic fixing gears for locking after a tilt or tilt and telescopic operation, is improved in such a manner that the tilt or tilt and telescopic operation may be locked by a locking member and a linear protruding portion. As a result, an improper tooth-engagement phenomenon (tooth-on-tooth phenomenon) between gear teeth can be prevented, the tilt operation and the telescopic operation can be simultaneously locked, and required components can be reduced such that material costs can be reduced.
