Provided herein is a refrigerator with an improved coupling structure of a heat dissipation duct for dissipating heat generated in a display unit and having and applying the improved heat dissipation duct to a door having a thin thickness such that a problem in which a curve is generated at an exterior of a door when an inside of the door is filled with a heat insulating material is prevented. The refrigerator includes a main body, and a door, wherein the door includes a door cap coupled to at least one of an upper portion and a lower portion of the door, a display unit provided at a front surface of the door, a heat dissipation cover arranged behind the display unit, and a heat dissipation duct slidably inserted into the door through the at least one of the upper portion and the lower portion of the door.

A refrigerator includes a speaker assembly disposed on an upper side of the cabinet so as to be inclined forward, and the speaker assembly is disposed to be exposed to the outside to efficiently transmit sound to the outside of the refrigerator. Further, the cover member disposed on the upper side of the speaker assembly may prevent the penetration of water, foreign matter, etc. on the outside. Disclosed herein are a refrigerator and a display unit of the refrigerator, in which a sealing member is disposed between a display installation part and a displaying part of a display unit, and thus moisture is prevented from penetrating into the display unit. The refrigerator includes a door assembly which opens and closes an opened front surface of a storage compartment and including an opening provided at a front surface thereof, and a display unit, wherein the display unit includes a display installation part that is inside the door assembly to correspond to the opening and at which a display is installed, a displaying part which is disposed at a front surface of the display installation part and exposed to an outside through the opening, and a sealing member which seals between the display installation part and the displaying part and prevents moisture from penetrating into the display unit.

A brushless DC motor has a stator and a rotor. The stator has a stator core and excitation coils wound around the stator core. The rotor has a rotor core disposed at the inner space of the stator, and many permanent magnets inserted into the rotor core. The permanent magnets are symmetrically tilted with respect to a radial direction of the rotor core. The rotor core is formed with slots for cutting off a magnetic field between the permanent magnets adjacent to each other. The slots are parallel with an axis of the rotor core. The slots are formed between ends of the permanent magnets adjacent to each other at an outer part of the rotor core. The vortex of magnetic flux between the permanent magnets is prevented by the slots.
