A refrigerator is provided, by which cold air can be effectively prevented from leaking from a storage room. The refrigerator includes a refrigerator body having an opening and a storage room provided therein, a door closing/opening, a sealing part provided to at least one of the door and the refrigerator body to prevent a cold air from leaking from the storage room, and a flow cutoff part provided inside the sealing part to prevent the cold air flowing toward the sealing part from the storage room. Accordingly, by cutting of the cold air leakage together with the sealing part, energy efficiency of the refrigerator can be raised.

A cooling air supply apparatus of a refrigerator that is capable of uniformly supplying cooling air to all food received in a receiving box is disclosed. The refrigerator includes a refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment for storing food at low temperature, a barrier for partitioning the refrigerating compartment and the freezing compartment from each other, and a receiving box mounted in the refrigerating compartment for receiving food. The cooling air supply apparatus includes a communication port formed through the barrier for guiding cooling air from the freezing compartment into the refrigerating compartment, and a hollow box-shaped cover mounted at the top part of the receiving box. The cover is provided at one side thereof with an introduction port, which communicates with the communication port. The cover is provided at the lower part thereof with at least one cooling air supplying hole, which communicates with the interior of the receiving box.

A cooling air supply apparatus includes: a blowing fan attached at a rear wall face of a freezing chamber and forcefully circulating air cooled while passing an evaporator of a freezing cycle; a supply passage formed at a barrier partitioning the freezing chamber and a cooling chamber and supplying cooling air ventilated from the blowing fan to the cooling chamber; a rear guide passage branched from the cooling air passage and guiding cooling air backwardly of the cooling chamber; a right guide passage branched from the cooling air supply passage and guiding cooling air rightwardly of the cooling chamber; and a left guide passage branched from the cooling air supply passage, having the same diameter as that of the right guide passage and guiding cooling air leftwardly of the cooling chamber. Since a half of cooling air is guided from the supply passage to the rear guide passage and one-fourth of cooling air is respectively supplied to the right guide passage and the left guide passage, the cooling air distribution in the whole cooling chamber can be uniform. In addition, when a load occurs partially as food, or the like, is received into the freezing chamber, cooling air is concentratively discharged to the portion where the load occurs, so that a cooling operation can be quickly performed.

In a refrigerator, in order to provide a device for controlling a cooling air supply of a refrigerator which is capable of regularly maintaining a temperature distribution inside a chilling chamber in a short time by intensively discharging cooling air to a part having a relatively high temperature when a temperature of the part inside the chilling chamber rises due to lots of preserved foods, etc., a device for controlling a cooling air supply of a refrigerator includes a cooling air supply path formed at the upper portion of a mullion wall demarcating a chilling chamber and a freezing chamber and supplying cooling air ventilated by a ventilation fan to the chilling chamber, a cooling air guide path diverged from the cooling air supply path and guiding the cooling air to each part of the chilling chamber, a cooling air duct connected to the cooling air guide path and discharging the cooling air to each partition demarcated by shelves of the chilling chamber and a cooling air control means intensively discharging the cooling air to a partition at which a load has occurred of the partitions demarcated by the shelves of the chilling chamber.

A cooling air circulating device of a refrigerator is provided. According to the cooling air circulating device, it is possible to impartially cool a chilling chamber and to make the spread of temperature of the chilling chamber uniform by letting cooling air sucked up into the respective cells divided by shelves of the chilling chamber. A door cooling supply apparatus of a refrigerator with a double-acting door includes: a first cooling air separating duct and a second cooling air separating duct separated from a main cooling air duct; a door cooling air duct installed at the cooling compartment door to discharge cooling air from the cooling compartment door to the cooling compartment and connected to the first and the cooling air separating duct; a plurality of door opening sensing units for detecting an opening direction of the cooling compartment door; a controller for determining the opening direction of the cooling compartment door according to signals of the plurality of the door opening sensing units; and a cooling air switching unit installed at an area where the main cooling air duct is separated into the first cooling air separating duct and the second cooling air separating duct and selectively opening one of the first and the second cooling air separating duct controlled by the controller.
