The invention relates to a method for operating a power plant () for generating electrical energy for delivery to at least one consumer () by combustion of a carbonaceous combustible, wherein carbon dioxide () is separated from the flue gas () of the power plant (), the separated carbon dioxide () is converted at least in part into a fuel (), characterized in that the fuel () is combusted at least temporarily in at least one heat engine () so as to form a waste gas (), and electrical energy is generated by the heat engine () and is delivered to at least one consumer (), at least some of the thermal energy of the waste gas () being used in at least one of the following processes: a) for heating combustion air () of a power plant (); b) for heating a process medium () of the power plant (); c) in a drying of the combustible of the power plant (); and d) in carbon dioxide separation.

The invention relates to a method and to a system for gas scrubbing of aerosol-containing process gases using an amine-containing solvent as scrubbing agent, which is brought into contact with the process gas in an absorber column () and which is regenerated in a desorber column () and after cooling is delivered to the absorber column () again. The water vapor concentration of the process gas which is not saturated with water vapor is increased with water before the gas scrubbing in the absorber column (), preferably to a degree of saturation of &#x3e;0.8, such that water is condensed out of the gas phase on aerosol particles contained in the process gas, and in a following method step the aerosol particles which have grown in size are precipitated out of the process gas before the gas scrubbing.

The invention relates to a method for operating a steam turbine power plant comprising at least one steam generator that is fueled by lignite, wherein the lignite is indirectly dried in a fluidized bed dryer that is heated at least partially with steam from the water-steam circuit of the steam generator. Said method is characterized in that the flue gas from the steam generator undergoes gas scrubbing to remove CO2 and that the energy required for the gas scrubbing is at least partially extracted from the drying process in the fluidized bed. A method for removing acid gases from a fluid stream comprises a) treating the fluid stream in an absorption zone with an absorption medium which comprises an aqueous solution of at least one amine, conducting the treated fluid stream through at least two scrubbing zones and treating it with a non-acidic aqueous phase in order to transfer entrained amine and/or entrained amine decomposition products at least in part to the aqueous phase, wherein aqueous phase is recycled via at least one scrubbing zone and aqueous phase is conducted through at least one scrubbing zone without recycling. The method permits efficient retention of amines from the treated fluid streams.
