Sentiment-aware management of profile pictures on social media platforms. Embodiments of the invention provide for changing a profile picture of a user of a social network platform. A user submits content for posting to the social network platform. Analysis of electronic text associated with the user post is performed to identify a post sentiment. If the post sentiment differs from a sentiment associated with the profile picture, a candidate replacement profile picture having an associated sentiment that matches the post sentiment more closely relative to the associated sentiment of the profile picture, is identified. The profile picture may be replaced by the candidate profile picture.

A method, system and computer program product for improving management and performance of an employee. An indication of a goal sponsored by an owner, such as a manager, is received. After receiving an indication of a user subscribing to the goal sponsored by the owner, communications (e.g., posts) on the social network involving the subscribed user that include a tag designating the goal may be monitored. Upon detecting a completion of the goal by the subscribed user in the monitored communications, a pattern of steps (e.g., 'prepare,' 'review' and &#x201c;finish&#x201d;) to accomplish the goal is determined based on the monitored communications. The pattern may then be used to recommend actions to other users subscribed to the goal concerning accomplishing the goal based on the pattern. Furthermore, the owner may receive indications as to the progress of the user in accomplishing the goal based on the pattern.

A method for associating a post with a goal may include receiving, by a processor, a special operator term entered by a user as part of a post. The special operator term may automatically cause the post to be associated with a selected goal. The method may also include providing, by the processor, a list of goals for selection by the user in response to receiving the special operator term and adding, by the processor, the selected goal from the list of goals to the post in response to the user selecting the select goal. The method may additionally include receiving, by the processor, content of the post entered by the user. The method may further include automatically associating, by the processor, the post with the selected goal from the list of goals.

Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to user interface rendering for information objects and provide method, system and computer program product for an integrated view of multi-sourced information objects. In an embodiment of the invention, an attention manager data processing system can be provided. The system can include integrated view logic executing in a computing device and an attention manager user interface generated by program code of the integrated view logic. The user interface can include a grid of quadrants. Each quadrant can correspond to a unique combination of importance and urgency. The quadrant further can include representations of underlying information objects from multiple different sources of information objects. A system for providing collaborative tag sets to assist in the navigation and use of a folksonomy. The collaborative tag sets are social in nature. As more users group two tags together into tag sets, the disclosed system causes the association between those two tags to grow stronger, as exposed in the bookmark system user interface when alternative tags are suggested for browsing the bookmarks in a folksonomy. Tags that are grouped together by a user into a tag set have the strongest possible weight for that user, and accordingly the disclosed system automatically applies all tags in a set when that user is retrieving bookmarks if the user selects at least one of tags in the set. Tags not in the user's tag sets, but included in the public tag set(s) of another user(s) are displayed in the user interface as tag suggestions.

Method and sytem for providing collaborative tag sets to assist in the use and navigation of a folksonomy

A method and system for an awareness service is provided. One or more collaborative contexts can be set for a first user within a set of users using the awareness service. One or more subsets of users can be defined within the set of users corresponding to the one or more collaborative contexts, respectively. Furthermore, a level of availability can be defined for the first user with respect to each of the subset of users. Next, an online status can be published on the awareness service for the first user. The online status can display an availability message to a second user. And, the availability message can have the highest level of availability selected from a group consisting of every level of availability defined for the first user with respect to every subset of users that includes the second user.
