An exhaust gas heater for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine includes a carrier arrangement and a heating conductor arrangement. The heating conductor arrangement is carried on the carrier arrangement and exhaust gas can flow therethrough in a main exhaust gas flow direction. The heating conductor arrangement includes at least two heating conductors arranged following one another in the main exhaust gas flow direction. The carrier arrangement includes at least one carrier element having a fixing region lying radially on the outside relative to an exhaust gas heater center axis and is configured for fixing to an exhaust gas guidance housing. The fixing region at least partially does not radially overlap a radially outer lying conductor region of at least one heating conductor of the heating conductor arrangement in at least one, preferably several circumferential regions.

Exhaust gas heater

An exhaust gas heater for an exhaust gas system of a combustion engine includes a carrier and at least one heating conductor through which a current flows. The heating conductor is mounted on the carrier. The heating conductor is provided via separation from a metal flat material blank. A method of making an exhaust gas heater includes a step of separating the heating conductor from the metal flat material blank.

An exhaust gas heater for an exhaust gas system of a combustion engine includes a carrier and a heating conductor supported on the carrier. The heating conductor includes a heating region arranged on an axial side of the carrier, wherein the heating conductor is electrically uninsulated in its heating region at least in part. A holding arrangement has at least one holding unit which holds the heating conductor on the carrier in its heating region. The holding unit includes at least one electrically conducting holding block which is in contact with the heating conductor in an electrically uninsulated region of the heating region. The holding block is electrically insulated with respect to the carrier.

A connection unit for an exhaust gas heater in an exhaust gas system of a combustion engine includes an electrically conducting connection element, elongated in the direction of a connection element longitudinal axis (L). The connection element has an inner connection region for connection to a heating conductor and an outer connection region for connection to an electrical supply. A carrier arrangement surrounds the connection element and an insulating arrangement insulates the connection element with respect to the carrier arrangement.

A mixer for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine includes a first mixer part () with a plate shape body () having an incoming upstream flow side (), with respect to an exhaust gas main flow direction (A) and a downstream outflow side (), and a second mixer part (), on an outflow side, with a bottom wall () spaced apart from the plate shape body and with two side walls (), extending from the bottom wall () towards the plate shape body and fixed at the first mixer part. The mixer parts define a reactant injection duct () receiving reactant in a main injection direction (R). An exhaust gas main passage opening () the plate shape body opens towards the reactant injection duct with a plurality of exhaust gas secondary passage openings () run past the injection duct.
