A vehicle may receive a request for use of a vehicle resource from a remote source. The vehicle may determine if the vehicle is capable of fulfilling the request based a state of the resource. The may also determine and send a cost for using the resource, to the remote source, in response to determining the vehicle is capable of fulfilling the request and provide use of the resource in accordance with a use-term defined in conjunction with the cost, in response to receiving agreement from the remote source to pay the cost.

Enhanced usability and functionality of vehicle onboard hardware and software

A method for computing a quality location estimate of a delivery robot by creating an ad-hoc network that can include one or more autonomous delivery vehicles, nearby infrastructure such as 5Generation signal transceivers, vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) enabled autonomous vehicles, and millimeter-wave device components in Line-Of-Sight (LOS) with any of the above communicating devices. The method can include estimating the quality for localization (e.g., dilution of precision), and steering the robot delivery vehicle via a vehicle-to-anything (V2X) antenna disposed on the robot delivery vehicle and/or repositioning the autonomous delivery vehicle itself to obtain maximum positioning accuracy. The location estimates computed by the vehicle are sent to the delivery robot which then fuses these estimates with its onboard sensor values. The method may assist localization based on a 2D occupancy map to enhance the positioning performance and provides robust localization mechanism without expensive 3D sensors.

Robotic package delivery with ad-hoc network fusion localization

A system includes a mobile device that requests a control file, defining a plurality of available vehicle controls. The mobile device also receives the control set file and populate a mobile device interface based on the available vehicle controls. The mobile device then receives selection of one of the vehicle controls via the mobile device interface. The mobile device then configures a vehicle function call, defined in accordance with the vehicle-control in the control file and transmits the configured vehicle function call to a vehicle.

A vehicle includes a millimeter wave (mmWave) antenna, including a millimeter wave (mmWave) antenna, including a plurality of light elements and a plurality of active antenna elements in a predefined configuration surrounding a lensless camera element. The vehicle further includes an antenna controller configured to receive an image of a second mmWave antenna of a second vehicle via the lensless camera of the mmWave antenna, identify a scale and angle of rotation between the mmWave antenna and the second mmWave antenna based on the image, compute phase angles for the active antenna elements of the mmWave antenna according to the scale and angle of rotation, and transmit data using the active antenna elements to the second vehicle, according to the computed phase angles, to form a beam targeted at the second mmWave antenna of the second vehicle.

Systems and methods for dynamic vehicle disaster relief include a vehicle that, responsive to entering a geofenced area including a disaster, communicates the vehicle is within the geofenced area to a server. The vehicle installs a user interface received from the server responsive to the communication. The user interface is for a geofenced application associated with the geofenced area and executing on the server. The vehicle then communicates a volunteer commit message from the user interface to the geofenced application on the server.
