The method includes: obtaining monitoring data of a patient, determining whether the current alarm threshold associated with a monitoring parameter needs to be adjusted or not according to the monitoring data, and if yes, generating threshold setting suggestion information according to the monitoring data and the current alarm threshold associated with the monitoring parameter; and outputting the threshold setting suggestion information. In this way, not only is the user prompted to adjust the alarm threshold, but also the threshold setting suggestion information is provided for user reference, which are beneficial to relieving the problem of alarm fatigue.
