In various embodiments, a method for processing industrial identifiers includes receiving unstructured data. An encoding scheme is determined for the unstructured data based on an execution tree associated with a plurality of industrial identifiers. The encoding scheme is then output to an application. Data may be received for one or more fields associated with one of the plurality of industrial identifiers. An industrial identifier may be generated based on the execution tree in response to the data.

A system for location tracking using passive tags includes a reader and a location tracker. The reader receives an identifier associated with a first passive tag. The location tracker receives the location of the passive tag, and maps the location of the first passive tag to the identifier associated with the first passive tag. The location tracker determines the location of an object based on the location of the first passive tag. The location tracker may receive the location of a second passive tag, and map the location of the second passive tag to an identifier associated with the second passive tag. The location tracker may update the location of the object using the location of the second passive tag in response to the reader receiving the identifier associated with the second passive tag.

A method for generating information related to a first object based on sensor data associated with a second object includes determining a containment hierarchy between the first object and the second object. Sensor data associated with the second object is determined using the containment hierarchy. Information related to the first object is generated based on the sensor data associated with the second object and the quality of data index.

The offline logic can be configured to submit the network communications from the post data store to the remote device when the link status changes to the online state.

A central server promulgates a central browser policy for application by agents executing on the client devices. The agents may operate in real-time as a browser executes (e.g., as browser extensions) and/or when the browser is inactive (e.g., as separate processes). The agents apply the central policy to block, remove or modify browser objects as required by the policy (e.g., to protect privacy), archive browser objects on the central server, create objects regulated by the organization (e.g., for browser pre-caching), etc. Because the policy is centrally customized but locally executed, it can be implemented on mobile devices even when those devices are remote from the organization.

One exemplary system embodiment can include a web browser executable within a computing device and configured to communicate with a network device using a network connection. The system can also include a parameter passing logic configured to cause selected parameters from the data parameters to be stored locally in a parameter data store and be selectively retrieved from the parameter data store to cause the selected parameters to be available between multiple web pages without using a cookie.

A first key or external identifier for a tag is associated with the internal identifier. A second external identifier is generated and the second external identifier is then written to the tag. In various embodiments, a method for signing tags associated with objects includes receiving a first identifier associated with a tag. A first signature is generated for the tag based on the identifier and a public key. The first identifier and the first signature are then stored in the tag.

A cache table comprises a set of access parameters and a set of data columns. One or more instances of a cache table are stored on a mobile computing device. Each instance includes an argument (a unique set of values for the access parameters) and a result set (a set of values for the data columns). Thus, each result in a result set comprises the argument and corresponding column values. Cached result sets have specified periods of validity, and may or may not be usable after becoming invalid. Valid cached data may be used regardless of whether a connection is available to a data source (e.g., data or application server). Invalid data may be used for a period of time if no connection is available to the data source. Data in a cache table may be selectively updated from a data source without synchronizing the entire local database.
