An ice making appliance includes a casing, a user interface on the casing, a container within the casing, and a reservoir disposed within the casing. The ice making appliance includes one or more injection molded parts with anti-microbial ingredients. The ice making appliance may include an auxiliary reservoir disposed outside of the casing.

Anti-microbial stand-alone ice making appliance

A stand-alone ice making appliance includes a casing, a first water tank disposed within the casing, a second water tank, and a pump disposed within the casing. The pump is in fluid communication with the first and second water tank. The appliance also includes an ice maker, disposed within the casing, that includes an inlet. The appliance further includes a fitting with a first port, a second port, and a third port. The first port of the fitting is in fluid communication with the second water tank, and the second port of the fitting is in fluid communication with the first water tank. The third port of the fitting is in fluid communication with the inlet of the ice maker, and the third port of the fitting is positioned above the inlet of the ice maker in the vertical direction.

Freeze prevention in stand-alone ice making appliance

A stand-alone ice making appliance, includes a casing. A water tank, an ice maker, and a pump are disposed within the casing. The pump is operable to circulate water from the water tank to the ice maker. An auxiliary water reservoir is disposed outside of the casing. The auxiliary water reservoir is in fluid communication with the water tank such that water within the auxiliary water reservoir is flowable to the water tank. A filter is disposed within the auxiliary water reservoir.

Stand-alone ice making appliance with a side tank filter

An icemaker appliance and method for reducing total dissolved solids is provided. The icemaker appliance includes a closed loop circuit including a conduit fluidly coupling together a water reservoir, an icemaking vessel, and an ice reservoir. A pump is configured to flow water through the conduit. A controller is configured to selectively operate the pump and the icemaking vessel. The controller is configured to allow a temperature at the icemaking vessel to be above freezing temperature of water at the conduit; and operate the pump to flow water through the closed loop circuit.

Icemaker appliance and method for reducing total dissolved solids

An ice making appliance includes an ice maker for producing ice, an ice bin defining a bottom trough that extends between a rear end and a dispensing chute, wherein the ice is supplied at the rear end and is collected in the ice bin, an auger rotatably mounted within the bottom trough of the ice bin, and a motor assembly mechanically coupled to the auger for selectively rotating the auger. A controller is configured to rotate the auger in an advancing direction to urge the ice toward the dispensing chute and periodically rotate the auger in a reverse direction to redistribute the ice proximate the rear end of the ice bin.

Method for enhancing ice capacity in an ice making appliance

A countertop appliance, as provided herein, may include a dispenser casing, a water path, a water filter, a dispenser valve, an output storage tank, an internal storage valve, and an ice maker. The dispenser casing may define an interior cavity. The water path may be enclosed within the interior cavity. The water path may define a water inlet and an assembly water outlet. The output storage tank may be disposed along the water path to hold a preset volume of water upstream from the assembly water outlet. The internal storage valve may be disposed along the water path and configured to maintain the preset volume of water within the output storage tank. The ice maker may be downstream from the output storage tank to receive water therefrom.

Countertop water dispenser and ice making assembly

An indoor smoker includes a cabinet including an exhaust duct, a smoking chamber, a firebox, and a bypass duct extending between the firebox and the exhaust duct. A damper is movable between a first position for closing the smoking chamber when a firebox temperature is outside a desired range and a second position for blocking the bypass duct when the firebox temperature is within the desired range. The damper thus regulates the flow of smoke such that only good smoke is directed into the smoking chamber, while bad smoke is routed directly to the exhaust duct.

System and method for regulating the flow of smoke in an indoor smoker

A stand-alone ice making appliance, as provided herein, may include an outer casing, a water tank, a pump, an ice maker, and a container. The outer casing may define an internal cavity that includes a primary opening. The water tank may define a storage volume to receive water. The pump may be in fluid communication with the storage volume of the water tank to actively flow water therefrom. The ice maker may in fluid communication with the storage volume of the water tank to receive water therefrom. The container may be disposed within the internal cavity. One or more insulated walls or sealing features may be further included herein.

An ice maker includes a mold body with two rows of mold cavities defined in the mold body. The ice maker also includes an ejector assembly having a plurality of ejector pads corresponding to the mold cavities. The ejector pads are movable between a low position proximate to the floor of a corresponding mold cavity and a high position proximate the opening of each corresponding mold cavity. The ejector pads are operable to eject ice from the mold cavities when the ejector assembly moves from the low position to the high position. A related refrigerator appliance is also provided.

An indoor smoker includes a cabinet including an exhaust duct, a smoking chamber, a firebox, and a bypass duct extending between the firebox and the exhaust duct. The indoor smoker further includes a system of dampers and check valves to regulate the flow of smoke and air within the indoor smoker. A controller may regulate these features to terminate a smoking process by asphyxiating the combustible material and evacuating the smoking chamber, to pause a process by evacuating the smoking chamber while permitting bleed air into the smoldering chamber, or to continue a normal smoking operation.

A refrigerator appliance and method of operation during Jewish holidays is provided herein. The refrigerator appliance may include a cabinet defining a refrigerated chamber, a sealed cooling system, and a controller. The sealed cooling system may be in operable communication with the refrigerated chamber and include a compressor. The controller may be operatively coupled to the sealed cooling system. The controller may be configured to selectively control the refrigerator appliance according to an operation routine for a Jewish holiday.

Refrigerator appliance and method of sabbath operation

An indoor smoker includes a cabinet defining a discharge vent, a smoking chamber having a chamber outlet, and an exhaust assembly including an exhaust duct and a recirculation duct providing fluid communication between the chamber outlet and the discharge vent. An air handler urges a flow of smoke through a catalytic converter positioned within the exhaust duct to lower volatile organic compounds prior to discharging the smoke. A recirculation port may be defined between the recirculation duct and the exhaust duct upstream of the catalytic converter and a damper may direct the flow of smoke through the recirculation port when the smoke contains unacceptable levels of volatile organic compounds.

A cooking engagement system for a cooktop appliance is provided herein. The cooking engagement system may include a camera assembly, an image monitor, a lighting assembly, and a controller. The camera assembly may be mounted above the cooktop appliance along a vertical direction and directed at a cooktop surface. The image monitor may be mounted above the cooktop appliance and directed away from the cooktop surface. The lighting assembly may be mounted to the casing above the cooktop appliance. The lighting assembly may include a light source directed at the cooktop source to emit a light thereto. The controller may be in operable communication with the camera assembly and the image monitor to initiate an interactive cooking operation.

An active ice press is provided herein and may be utilized to reshape an initial ice billet as a sculpted ice nugget. The active ice press may include a mold body and an electric heater. The mold body may define an axial direction and a mold cavity within which the sculpted ice nugget is shaped. The mold body may include a first mold segment and a second mold segment. The first mold segment may define a first cavity portion of the mold cavity. The second mold segment may be movably positioned above the first mold segment along the axial direction. The second mold segment may define a second cavity portion of the mold cavity. The electric heater may be disposed within the mold body in conductive thermal engagement with the mold cavity.

Active ice press assembly

A stand-alone ice making appliance and method of operation is provided. The stand-alone ice making appliance may include a container defining a first storage volume for receipt of ice, a water storage volume in fluid communication with the container to receive water from the container, an ice maker, a pump, and an ultraviolet light source. The ice maker may include an auger at least partially surrounded by a casing. The casing may be in fluid communication with the water storage volume to receive water from the water storage volume. The ice maker may further include a sealed refrigeration system in thermal communication with the casing. The pump may be in fluid communication with water storage volume for actively flowing water from the water storage volume to the ice maker. The ultraviolet light source may face the water storage volume to selectively direct ultraviolet light into the water storage volume.
