A framework of a vehicle superstructure, in particular for rail or road bound vehicles for passenger transport, having a side-wall structure containing an inner side facing the interior of the vehicle superstructure and an outer side facing outwards and longitudinal sections ( ) and vertical sections ( ) forming cross-like connecting places, whereby at one, several or all cross-like connecting places made between longitudinal sections ( ) and vertical sections ( ), the longitudinal section ( ) is continuous and crosses behind the vertical section ( ) on the inside at least in part and is releasably attached to the vertical section ( ). For the purpose of releasable connection of the longitudinal section ( ) to the vertical section ( ), the longitudinal section ( ) contains at least one undercut longitudinal groove ( ) which runs in the longitudinal direction and crosses behind the vertical section ( ).

Structural frame of a vehicle superstructure

A structural support for frame and grid constructions of vehicle cabs and transport elements includes at least two profile parts, e.g., an outer profile part and an inner profile part, the profile parts being connectable together such as with an adhesive. Preferably the outer profile part is made of a metal such as aluminum, and the inner profile part is made of a plastic and particularly a fiber-reinforced plastic.

Structural support

A linear cold connection with connecting places contains a first and a second structural component to join first and second construction elements of a frame for road or rail bound vehicles. First construction elements are attached to the first structural component and second construction elements are attached to the second structural component. The first and second structural components are joined together via a pair of first and second joint faces. The joint faces form a length of arc of a circular cylinder with a common circular-cylinder axis. The first structural element is joined to the second structural element via a bolt-type connection penetrating openings in the first and second joint faces. The diameters of the openings transverse to the circular-cylinder axis are larger than the diameters of the bolts where they penetrate the openings with the result that, when the bolt-type connection is loose, both structural components can be displaced with respect to each other by relative movement of the first and second joint faces transverse to the circular-cylinder axis and with that accommodate tolerances.
