A method of regulating sorting systems, in particular multi-stage sorting systems, in paper production and a sorting system working in accordance with the method are described, in which the fiber suspension supplied in each case to a sorting stage is separated into at least one fine fraction and one coarse fraction and at least one portion of a coarse fraction is sorted again and at least the fine fraction thereby obtained is returned to the sorting process, with the mass flows at the input side and the output side being detected at each sorting stage of the sorting system by online measurement and/or by calculation and the values obtained being supplied to a processor associated with the sorting system for mathematical modeling and state regulation of the sorting system and with the mass flows at the output side and/or selectable machine parameters of the sorting system being influenced in dependence on pre-settable target parameters such as production, efficiency, fiber loss and the like.

Method of regulating sorting systems and a sorting system suitable for carrying out this method

Process for the disintegration and cleaning of contaminant-containing raw paper stocks. The process includes producing a contaminant-containing suspension, feeding the contaminant-containing suspension to a closed coarse screen, drawing of a cleaned flow fraction from the closed coarse screen, and drawing off an overflow fraction containing an increased amount of contaminants from the coarse screen during at least about 80% of an operating time. The process also includes adjusting a volumetric mass flow of the overflow fraction to at least about 15% and maximally about 50% of a volumetric mass flow of an inflow into the coarse screen, and feeding the overflow fraction to a screening device, in which contaminants collected are sluiced out discontinuously as a further overflow fraction, thereby forming a further cleaned flow fraction.

Process for the breaking and cleaning of contaminant-containing raw paper stocks, in particular of recovered paper

Process and device for fractioning a suspension containing paper fibers, in which the suspension is separated into at least two fractions by a wire with a scraper. The process includes moving the scraper in a substantially parallel relation to the wire so that the wire is kept clear, and a parallel current is created in the suspension with respect to an inlet side of the wire by a rough surface of the scraper, so that the suspension is dragged along the inlet side of the wire with the scraper with minimal slippage of the suspension. The device includes at least one wire having an inlet side with openings; and a scraper having a closed rough surface provided adjacent the at least one wire; wherein the scraper is movable substantially parallel to the inlet side of the at least one wire, whereby clogging of the openings of said wire is substantially prevented.

Process and device for fractioning a suspension containing paper fibers

Process and pressure grader screen for wet screening stock suspensions. The process includes conducting the stock suspension along the screen, so that break-away eddies are formed on an inflow side of the screen, separating portions of the stock suspensions, so that a part of the stock suspension passes through the screen apertures as underflow and an other part is rejected as overflow, and moving the at least one clearer relative to the screen, so that one of pressure- and suction impulses are produced at the screen apertures to form pre- and back flows. In this way, a flow direction of the break-away eddy is reversed by the back flow to rinse a part of the screen lying between the screen aperture with the back flow and an adjacent downstream aperture. The pressure grader screen includes a plurality of bars arranged to form a plurality of essentially parallel grading slots through which an accepted part of the stock suspension passes during the wet screening. The bars have faces located between the grading slots, and the faces each include a front end and a back end. Each back end includes an extension arranged to cover an adjacent grading slot and at least a part of the front end of the face adjacent the adjacent grading slot. Each extension has an underside, such that the underside and the front end are oriented obliquely to each other.

Process for the wet screening of stock suspensions in pressure graders and pressure graders screen

A screen device including a multitude of parallel rods between which are located the sorting slots. The rods are held in position by supporting elements, which are connected with carriers. The respective cover elements are located at the faces of the rods. Due to their special design, the cover elements may be detachable. The screen devices may be used, for example, in the paper-making industry as cylindrical screen baskets or plane screens.
