The aminoalkyl silicones are modified with epoxides to alkylate the nitrogen atoms and decrease their reactivity to flavors and other aldehydes present in the dentifrice. The modified silicones form a hydrophobic layer on the teeth for prevention of caries and stain.

Liquid fabric conditioner containing compatible amino alkyl silicones

An antifoam composition and laundry detergent formulation including it. The antifoam composition comprises a selected alkylaminosilicone, finely divided filler particles and a hydrocarbon carrier oil. Optional ingredients include oil/water surfactants and silicone oils. The alkylaminosilicone reduces the surface tension of the hydrocarbon oil and renders the formulation self-hydrophobing.

Self hydrophobing silicone/hydrocarbon antifoam compositions

Amino alkyl silicones modified by reaction with epoxide groups, thereby alkylating the amines. The alkylated amines show decreased reactivity toward aldehydes which may be present in consumr products. The modified amino alkyl silicones may be used in dentifrices and other consumer products.
