There is provided a wrapping web () having transverse tape assemblies () released from a double sided release film () and cut to length. The tape assemblies () comprise a double sided adhesive tape portion () adhered to the baling web () and an adhesive tape laminate portion () having a release surface overlying the double sided adhesive tape portion (). The exposed adhesive layer () of the adhesive tape () permanently adheres to the back surface () of the web () as it is rolled up. The wrapping web assembly () is deployed by unwinding from an accumulator spool into a baling assembly. As the web () unspools from the accumulator spool, peel forces are applied to the tape assembly () causing separation of the adhesive () and double sided adhesive () tape portions. This presents an exposed adhesive layer () whereby the web () can be closed over itself to close the wrapping of a product such as cotton.
