A fishing lure that is water-degradable is described. The fishing lure can be a polymeric fishing lure. The fishing lure can have a body that includes vinyl resin and epoxy plasticizer, and may also include one or more of a supplemental plasticizer, heat stabilizer and/or fish attractant, and wherein the body is degradable upon immersing the body in water a body.

A food wrap formed from polyvinyl chloride, at least one stabilizer, and a plasticizer in an amount of 10-60 parts per hundred parts polyvinyl chloride. The plasticizer may be present in an amount of 30-55 parts per hundred parts polyvinyl chloride. The plasticizer includes dioctyl terephthalate. Dioctyl adipate or another plasticizer may be used with dioctyl terephthalate. In this case, the plasticizer may contain 20 to 80 wt. % dioctyl terephthalate, or more specifically 20 to 60 wt. % dioctyl terephthalate. The food wrap may have a thickness of 1 to 80 mils. According to a method of wrapping food, the food wrap is applied to a food article. According to a method of forming the food wrap, polyvinyl chloride is combined with the plasticizer to form a mixture. The mixture is heated and fused. Then, a film is formed from the fused mixture.

The present invention relates to a process for preparing flexible, semi-flexible or rigid polyurethane foam plastics from a polyfunctional isocyanate and a polyhydric compound. More specifically, the invention involves the substitution of some portion of the hydroxy groups on the polyhydric compound with acetoacetate groups. Such substitution reduces the viscosity of the polyhydric resin without effecting the performance properties of the foams. Various substitution levels can be used depending on the desired level of viscosity reduction.

Process for the production of polyurethane foams

The present invention provides an improvement in methods for preparing and processing readily polymerizable acrylate monomers. The improvement comprises employing phenyl-para-benzoquinone, 2,5-di-phenyl-para-benzoquinone, and mixtures thereof as process inhibitors. The process inhibitors are present in a concentration of about 50 to 3000 ppm, preferably about 250 to 2000 ppm, and most preferably about 500 ppm.
