A system, device and method for automatically and remotely acquiring sensor data from a wearable patch mounted on a patient. An example device implemented as a wearable patch includes a sensor assembly comprising a plurality of sensors configured to detect a corresponding plurality of sensory modalities and generate electrical signals representing the sensory modalities. A signal converter receives the electrical signals from the plurality of sensors and converts the signals to sensor data signals comprising a data representation of at least one of the electrical signals. A communications interface communicates the sensor data signals to a sensor data processing system.

Wearable device with multimodal diagnostics

A prosthesis for monitoring a characteristic of flow includes a first tubular prosthesis having a lumen and a sensor for detecting the characteristic of flow through the lumen. The sensor may be covered with another tubular prosthesis or by a layer of material in order to insulate the sensor from the fluid flow. A pocket may be formed between the tubular prosthesis and the adjacent layer of material or prosthesis and the sensor may be disposed in the pocket.

Method and apparatus for measuring flow through a lumen

A system, device and method for measuring markers for a periprosthetic joint infection in a sample of synovial fluid. A sensor reader device includes a vial receptacle for receiving a vial containing synovial fluid. A light source illuminates the vial and an optical sensor detects light scattered and/or absorbed by white blood cells in the fluid sample. An electrical signal corresponding to the intensity of the light received at the optical sensor is detected. A white blood cell concentration is determined from the electrical signal value. The sensor reader device also includes one or more immunoassay strip receptacles. Immunoassay strips for other marker are inserted into the receptacles. Immunoassay optical sensors detect light generated by the immunoassay reaction on the immunoassay strip to determine the concentration of the marker. In example implementations, the device includes an immunoassay strip reader for leukocyte esterase and c-reactive protein.

System and method for detecting a periprosthetic infection

Systems and methods to non-invasively measure sub-cutaneous processes in a patient are disclosed. Examples of systems may optically detect biological fluid properties. The optical detection techniques described herein may be incorporated into a wearable monitoring system. Examples of wearable monitoring systems may simultaneously measure a plurality of sensory modalities. Systems of the present disclosure may be mounted on the skin of a patient.

Systems and methods for remotely monitoring blood flow that include an endovascular prosthesis. The endovascular prosthesis includes a conduit forming a lumen within a surrounding wall having an inner surface and an outer surface. A monitoring device is disposed on the wall forming the lumen. The monitoring device comprises a sensor element configured to detect a physical event and to generate an electrical parameter shift in response to the physical event. An antenna portion is configured to receive a first oscillating electrical signal from an interrogator device and to transmit a second oscillating electrical signal to the interrogator device. The second oscillating electrical signal is modulated by the electrical parameter shift.

System and method for measuring blood flow parameters in a blood vessel having an endovascular prosthesis

A prosthesis for monitoring a stenosis in the prosthesis comprises a tubular prosthesis having a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a lumen extending therebetween. A sensor is coupled to the tubular prosthesis and disposed at an effective predetermined location on the tubular prosthesis so that the sensor may sense a presence of the stenosis in the lumen.
