An electrical energy storage module is provided. The storage module includes a reversible electrical energy conversion device intended to be connected to an electrical energy source and an electrical energy storage device. The storage device includes a first branch including two filter capacitors in series, and a second branch including two identical electrical energy storage means connected in series. A node common to the two capacitors and a node common to the two energy storage means are coupled by an impedance. A first end of the first and second branches is connected to the electrical energy conversion device, and a second end of the first and second branches is connected to the electrical energy conversion device.

Electrical energy storage module, associated system and method

A power converter is presented. The power converter includes at least one leg operatively coupled between a first bus and a second bus and includes a first string including a plurality of non-controllable semiconductor switches, a first node, a second node, and a third node, where the first node is coupled to a third bus, one or more second strings, where each of the one or more second strings includes at least one fully controllable semiconductor switch, and where one of the second strings is coupled between the first node and the third bus and another second string is coupled between the second node and the third node, and one or more third strings, where each of the one or more third strings includes at least one energy storage device and is coupled to the first string, the one or more second strings, or a combination thereof.

Multilevel converter

This system for converting a direct input voltage into an alternating output voltage comprises two input terminals, two voltage generators connected in series between the input terminals and connected to one another by a middle point, as well as, for each phase of the alternating voltage, an output terminal, two switching branches each connected between the output terminal and a respective input terminal, each switching branch comprising N first switching cells connected in series and N&#x2212;1 intermediate points, the first switching cells successively being connected to one another by a corresponding intermediate point, N being an integer greater than or equal to 2, and control means for controlling the first switching cells. The system includes, for each phase of the alternating voltage, N&#x2212;1 pair(s) of capacitors, each pair of capacitors being connected between intermediate points of one of the two switching branches and the other of the two switching branches.
